  • Can this be purchased with the membership signup vouchers?

    Not a deal.
Stockade splicer and stockade refreshing ale are both cheaper at first choice ($54 and $48) with cheaper shipping ($6.95 vs $9.90) AND ready for immediate pickup/delivery, without having to wait 9 days for dispatch.

(Edit - possible extra bonus at first choice - save $20 if spending $200)

    • +3

      First Choice link

Site also says dispatch on 10th of Feb + no pick up. Both of which First choice beats you on.

We hear you guys. Jump on the 8 Bit if you're after a great deal. We get it if it's not your jam.

        Cheers

    Negging for these reasons

    1) Grief burger has pointed out - splicer and refreshing ale cheaper at first choice. Plus you can use flybuys points to pay.

    2) Daily calls for over a week plus late in a day from a number owned by them after the order and no message left.

These were sales call in regards to selling their membership based on the feedback when I googled the number.

    • Sorry to hear it's not for you. We'd appreciate any feedback you have. I'm guessing you're referring to calls in about August of last year? We currently have a membership manager on the phones (for members)

If something else has happened we'd be keen to hear about it so we can address things.

Comments are a bit harsh - the prices are decent and you can't get all of those cases at the prices offered.

If you are a member it's sweetened further by discounted or free shipping.

      The point is:
      1) they need to post genuine deals, not spam with options to generate clicks, expecting the buyer to 'find' the deal amongst 8 listed beers
      2) it's not really acceptable that their title states a a generic 'from $49' when only 1 beer is that price and it is actually one of the ones found cheaper elsewhere
      3) not posting delivery cost
      4) delayed dispatch (?are they buying in bulk for more savings then selling to consumer), and lastly
      5) aggressive post sales marketing
      - are all reasons this is not a deal.

      • Sorry to hear it's not your jam @Griefbringer

We post plenty of deals here. Some hit the mark, others not so much. We get it if this is a pass for you.

        Cheers

Not worth the annoying phone calls trying to get you to sign up.

Oh man I told the guy trying to sell me membership over the phone that I had gout and was attending AA meetings now, both true, and he was still pushing it. Not bad offers otherwise for those who can still drink.

    • Sorry to hear that.

We'd appreciate hearing what happened in more detail if you had the time to let us know, we'd be happy to PM you and find a time to chat.

      Cheers

      • Oh it's just he was pushing it for my family or friends, for real there wasn't any I'll feeling going on, just was making sure he hit every avenue as his sales technique. I didn't feel like he was crossing any boundaries, just wanted to make the sale. No hard feelings. Like I said u guys have great deals and awesome membership value.

Prices once were competitive, but now with all the cashback deals not so much.
My last case of flight path from here looked like it had been used for bowling and tasted terrible.

    • Sorry to hear this isn't for you @mrfather

If you email [email protected] we'd be happy to address any issues regarding fright you have had

    Thanks for the feedback community.

Make sure you jump on the NEIPA and 8 Bit. $101 and $104 respectively at First Choice, so a steal.

    Cheers

    • IBU is through the roof.

      • what’s the ibu on it ….currently just buy little creatures at $56 a case for bitter beer,

i have no issues with multinationals buying boutique … the brewers cash out rich, and beer prices come down for consumers, wish james squire still sold hop thief …..35 ibu and was $49 case ….

I did signup as a member but they have a heap of specials that really negate most of the benefits of being a member.

Plus I was told by the telemarketer that members got 10% off everything (i.e. including the "specials"). Which isn't the case. Support were like "too bad, so sad".

Realistically it was costing me $25/mth and I get a $30 voucher. That only works for that month. So of course if you don't use it you lose it. And shipping is free over $75 (but they often have "buy 2 get free shipping" promotions anyway.

So I decided to cancel. No option on the website. Only to upgrade. Emailed and said I'd like to cancel at the end of my paid up period (so to use my last $30 voucher). Cancelled immediately. Means I've paid $25 for 2 weeks of nothing.

    Very disappointed.

    • shipping is one of those things that can put people off deals …..vinomofo it’s free for 3 boxes of wine …. sometimes they do free shipping including on special for single cases ….. but they don’t price jack when free shipping is on offer ….. specials are still there ..

beer is a funny thing, very industrial process don’t need a vineyard, just a shed / factory, don’t need to worry about the weather , you buy your barley from others so don’t need to grow it, buy your hops from others so don’t need to grow it, buy your yeast from others and water comes out of the pipe ……and then some cost $47 eg furphy a slab so you get an idea of cost to make and some cost $80 slab …. can’t be the cost of barley or hops or water …. surprised coca cola or pepsi haven’t gotten into the brewing game as they have the distribution network , access to water, etc ….

      • Furphy as $47 a slab is a sign of massive scale production. I think you're oversimplifying it a tad

        https://blackhops.com.au/craft-beer-prices-how-much-does-bee…

        • I buy beer in slabs not 6 packs ….not sure why people don't leverage the cost savings of a slab more ….. good chance you can finish the slab over a month so why pay for a 6 pack …. who buys 1 roll of toilet paper and pays premium, or 1 can of coke at the supermarket ….. big packs for savings, same with beer …..slabs.

sure, people like little creatures have economies of scale, and a distribution network and a formula for cash flow. Super tough to get shelf space at Dans or First choice, or BWS when beer section is full of people putting art work on cans that say "pick me" …. I'm mainly a wine drinker and feel overwhelemed because unlike wine where a region or vintage might be an indicator, with beer you can make the same beer anywhere, any time, in any quantity, so WA beer brand might be the same taste as a Vic beer .,……."no terroir", heck we see sooo many brands made under license ….very industrial sclabale process,

Just wish craft beer was 375ml instead of 330ml or 355ml as cost is probably not the extra beer to get to 375ml but bottling and transport, so you could easily give me 10-20% more beer in 375ml and it wouldn't cost 10-20% more …..

question is if you can make and sell one of your labels at $50 ……. why can't it be like james squire ….all their labels sell for the same price just different flavour profile e.g more IBU, or more malt , etc ….coopers only vary due to alcohol level …… tough market …. like trying to open up a pizza shop or burger joint in a very busy market, people on Ozbargain have a "hobby" of chasing a deal to a level beyond me, and if you look at the number of upvotes you will know if it's a deal or not ….. and if you need to sharpen your deal for upvotes ….. get the deal right and Ozbargain will clear out your warehouse, just like oz bargain can clear our JB hifi, or good guys, etc.

hope to try your beer at a tasting at some stage …..

only market tougher than beer might be gin ……

I've used Craft Cartel several times and sometimes they have great deals. Not this week for me unfortunately. Stockade aren't the same as they used to be.

Also, the prices aren't great here. If you are in Brisbane you can get a carton of 8bit IPA for $73 from Harry Brown, and I've seen it down at $65 no too long ago: https://eatonshill.harrybrown.com.au/lines/stockade-8-bit-ip…

I didn't down vote this deal, but I'll wait for a better deal before giving the tick of approval.

    • "Stockade aren't the same as they used to be." This exactly.
Their 8Bit and Mr Fruju were amazing and now they're lacking bigtime.

      • Glad it's not only me, I used to love the 8 bit and Mr fruju. The last 2 cases have been very average.
