The C3 version can be had for around $29.24 at the moment with a further 25% coupon :-)
    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B086WJBB7K

    • Yes and if you wait may see it around the $25-27 mark again. Some people may prefer the L50 beam as it uses a smooth reflector instead of the total internal reflection used on C3. Also I believe the UI is a bit different as well.

where is this 25% coupon for the C3?

      • +1

Looks like it has been fully used up. Just keep an eye as they will probably put up again but whether discount is greater or lesser just have to wait and see.

      • yes, appears the 25% coupon (checkbox) I no longer on Amazon… I was lucky enough to grab one but did not realise it was limited as it did not mention it…

After watching All of Us Are Dead i might start prepping a survival kit.

    Will add this to it.

Just another heads up. I wouldn’t throw this in the ‘micro flashlight’ category.

    • +2

Based on size of the flashlight itself? 13cm

  • Aren't these like identical except for the number of modes?

    • +3

The only difference between the L50 and c3 is reflector technology as far as I can tell. The C3 appears to have a tir optic so it would probably throw further but the beam pattern wouldn’t look as nice. Probably go with which ever one goes on sale and it should suit you fine.

        • Thanks. Hedged and bought both lol..

        • Website says the throw is longer for the L50.

  • +1

microUSB? .. no thanks .. who still has these old-school cables? just a hassle now that everything is USB-C.

    • +4

Not everything is USB C charging yet

      • -3

never buy anything that is not USB C .. unless you want to add extra mess, complexity and slow charging rates

    • +1

      have more micro than usbc
Bluetooth speaker. Wifi cameras. Sensor lights.

      • -2

sold or chucked-out all my micro USB equipment and cables a few years ago .. you will get there eventually too.

        • +4

          so gangsta

        • We can only to aspire to reach your levels of wastefulness

    • C3 version has USB-C connector I believe… I managed to grab one at 25% off coupon but it seems it's no longer available… perhaps keep checking back on that model if you prefer type c connector..

  • It would be good if they had something that came with a cradle that would "care" for the device, ie slowly discharge it and then recharge if you haven't used it for months or whatever is needed these days to ensure optimum performance.

    • +1

I think it would be cheaper just to replace the battery than them charging for a cradle that auto charges.

      • I'd be willing to pay extra for a "set and forget" tool that sits on my desk and is always ready to go when I need it without having to think about it or maintain it periodically.

        • +1

But if you're going to set one aside that long then it begs question do you need this and better off just getting one that uses normal replaceable batteries and keep some spare batteries next to it.

    • You could take out the battery and discharge and recharge it with a better battery charger unit

  • Up to 10% cashback with shopback as well

    • Unfortunately I believe the category the flashlight is in has 0% cashback.

  • Looks cool. Am tempted to get one, but the one thing that's confusing me is the mention of a backup battery. I see 2x CR123A as well as 18650. Are they interchangeable?

  • I need to count how many USB flash lights I have from ozb…

    • I assume you have a power bank for each one from ozb too?

      • Hahaha… 1 of 20,000 and 1 of 30,000 they are more than I need…

  • Anything like this with Zoom function?
