Good microwave. Bigly, spacious and quiet. Heats food evenly and quickly. Has a annoying/pleasant sound that harrasses you after its done cooking. Does murder 2.4Ghz wifi but 5GHz should be fine. Inside light bright and can see your food burning. Sliding dial only works in 10s intervals but can press and hold to max time quickly and then slide for fine tuning.Voted Sexiest microwave by OzBargainers, 10/10.

+1 for the detailed yet summarised review lol

      No timer function though right?

    • +2

Exactly as I would put it, thanks chickendinner. The sound - and reminder sound - drives me nuts but it does cook evenly, also the same experience with wifi cutting out - take note Zoom calls during lunch. Also the sliding dial I think after the 5 or 6 minute mark will increment at 30s. Other point I'd note is that it's a pull out door, though not sure how many microwaves these days do push button open

      • +2

You can turn off the sound. If you look on past deals, someone has posted the code to disable the sounds completely. Yeah, once you hold on the + button, it starts increasing the time exponentially. Can get to 90mins very quickly.

        • +2

What are you microwaving for 90 minutes?

    • Good to know that the Wi-Fi thing doesn’t just happen to me. Took me about a month to figure out the reason behind those dropouts. A quick google search stopped me from returning it but now I know it does this to everyone!

Is this the best price? Been waiting for a while for this. JBHIFI had it for $200

  • Yes, the annoying tune!!

Can someone advise why some microwaves kill wifi and some don't??

Is it a concern if they are killing wifi signal as does that mean microwaves are leaking out of the microwave??

    • Not a concern unless you are playing competition rocket league on nintendo.

      WHAT A DAVE!

    • Shitty shielding from faraday cage. Not really a concern as long as you don't stick your eyeballs near it. Microwave is non-ionising, won't cause cancer but will cook your organs if you microwave yourself,

    • I read somewhere that the wifi killing is due to the inverter. Not to do with leaking microwaves.

  • How to clean the smell inside the microwave? Smells like pizza or something

    • +10

Microwave some fish. Will help to cover the pizza smell.

Put a whole lemon in it for 2 minutes. Don't cut it. Job done

      • Are you saying to heat the lemon for 2 mins??

        • Yes, that's correct. Microwave will smell like fresh lemons for months

    • Leave some baking soda inside it for at least half a day.

    • Buy a new microwave. Now, if only someone would post a deal for one…

Just sharing my experience, I have one of these and everytime I use it, it cuts off my internet. Tried replacing, repositioning router and/or microwave but didnt get any better. Iam just waiting for it to die so that I could replace with something that doesnt interfere with internet.

    • Thanks for the feedback. Considering my router is next to the wall on the other side of the microwave, I may need to reconsider this one.

    • Wrap it in aluminium foil

    • 5ghz is your friend

  • Seem like normal price ?

Curious what is driving the hype? Sure they look good, but all the NeoChef model reviews note they kill wifi within a few rooms and some have even spontaneously caught fire, yet they still get a 4 or 5 star review.

Because I live in an apartment and didn't want my wifi to go down every time I threw something in I got a panasonic inverter. All black for a similar price, hopefully it's reliable, but it does all the microwave things well soi far. All the reviews on the internet are for NeoChef's though so there wasn't much to look at for this one.

    • Which model did you get?

After about six months really not happy with this microwave. Door is a real pain to open and close, almost pulls off the shelf because it's so stiff. I actually don't mind the annoying tune though! Also parents have had nothing but trouble from a smaller version of this. Repaired under warranty once and now dead. I think steer clear.

  • So what is good one to buy ?

  • Mine died yesterday and JB Hi Fi gave me a refund. It was just under 12 months old, not used heavily and stopped heating food altogether.

Loved the look of it but didn't heat as well as our previous Panasonic inverter Microwave. I don't think I'll replace with same model - this is about the same price I paid then.

So hunt starts for a bargain replacement today!

  • Seems like the LG Inverter has a massive impact on Stock Levels as well.
Funny how this occurs when Shopback increases their Cashback rate.

Oh Myer, one day someone will take over the company and run it properly.
