Olympus OM-D E-M1 MK II (12-40mm) Kit Black $1328 Delivered @ BecexTech via Matt Blatt (Kogan)

120

Pretty good deal even just for the lens, not sure how reliable the seller is but seems like a steal.

Edit - price up to $1989 now

Looks like good ol’ matt blatt is cancelling orders, no wonder they went under

  • The furniture chain has sure diversified their product offerings.

    • They did go under didn't they?

    • They are Kogan and they abandoned all the Matt Blatt customers when they brought out the name.

      • Bought, not brought. And how can you abandon someone else's customers? They aren't yours to abandon.

  • Great price. Not sure about the seller though:

This product is sold by a third party Marketplace Seller.
For Warranty claims, this product is covered by the Kogan Guarantee.

It is indeed a good price. The lens alone is $1000 street price, or $600 used. The camera although not the current model, is still very capable, with very good IBIS and AF (good for sports or wildlife photographers). It is an overseas seller though. In which case might as well buy direct (instead of paying the middleman mattblatt/Kogan a commission) from an overseas store for $1263.95 delivered.

      $1,154 here https://www.becextech.com.au/catalog/olye-m1markiikit12-40bl… (right now)

      Really weird storefront.

I saw that. They are tricky. When you choose that item, the shipping cost is higher, total came out the same as the one in my comment.

With that one they add "free insurance".
          And cough, $109.95 shipping.
I am hoping Australian stock will follow suit soon.

        • Doesn't give you a whole great deal of confidence…but hey, the price is still good. Lot of bang for buck in that combo.

          • @Banj0: I think your link is better as it explicitly includes insurance for extra peace of mind (I assume that’s shipping insurance). Serious combo at entry level price. So yeah lots of bang for buck there. Cheaper than gumtree secondhands…

            • @Buy2Much: I am not confident to go with this company after a cursory online search for reviews.

Will wait for the next one.

  • Vendor in title?

  • Site looks like Kogan

  • Can I use multiple Kogan E gift cards to buy this? I signed up for the newsletters to get the $20 credit, but that only shows up on the mattblatt (not the Kogan) site.
From what I can see so far, Kogan E gift cards only can redeem on Kogan ( with $5 discount for first) against the $1328 price.

ordered on Kogan for peace of mind.
Used ~$1k in Kogan GC ( for 6% discount via Suncorp (daily limit)) $5 first discount and balance paid in the usual way.
      Cost doing this was $1263

    • Hope we get our orders

      • Mine was just cancelled.

“… A Matt Blatt Marketplace Seller has advised that they are are unable to supply…”.

        • Yep same, typical Matt Blatt

        • +1

Ah price error possibly…the price was a bit too good to be true…

  • Ugh. Order cancelled.
Now I am stuck with Kogan credit.
    shivers.

I've added this store to my black list. Just to make sure that I won't get into trouble in the future.
