      The first 28 days is counted as one of the "renewal". So you are supposed to get 28 days x6. Should probably contact them if you get any less.

    After purchase on Groupon, you need to redeem the voucher on Amaysim. See "How to Redeem". In the previous deals, some people did not do it and just wasted money on it.

        Just a reminder that if you choose to 'get a new number', then they will immediately activate your SIM card at the time of purchase and that will be the date when they start counting your 28-days.
        Had this happen to me.
        Bought a new number, took a week and a half to arrive, put it in the phone and set it up, signed in to online portal to check status and said I only had 17 days left until first renewal.
        Dissappointing!

        P.S. I can't really blame Amaysim for postage delays since that depends on the carrier, but activating your SIM before you get it is ridiculous. I hope they change this practice.

        Apparently, some other ozbargainers have previously explained that if you choose to 'port your phone number' then when the SIM eventually arrives you will need to manually activate it online yourself and THEN it will start counting your 28-days.

        But, some of us want a new number, so I guess we are out of luck?

          @Noob Noob: if you contact them through live chat they will start the 28 days from the day you receive the sim card

          If you pay with PayPal and do not verify your ID, then it won't be activated until you do the verification.

          Or you could specify port a number (and give some random number), then you can still change to activate a new number when you got the SIM.

          Also if it's pre-activate, from my experience it would automatically reset to 28 days the day after I start using it.

    The banner at top for GET15 says:

    15% off 8am-2pm 10% off rest of the day.

    So accounting for WA, it looks like 15% off ended at 5pm AEDT.

  My experience from the previous deal purchase (for a new number) - they activated the sim already upon its dispatch while I wanted to activate it a couple of weeks later. I thought the sim will be activated only when I activate it in Amaysim account but it doesn't work that way for 'new numbers' though the customer care may extend the expiry date of the plan if you raise this concern with them. Just FYI.

    No trap. Just change your payment method to BPay. Once you run out of data they cannot charge you since they don't have your payment details. If you think you will need more data anyway, then this isn't the best plan for you I guess.

  I have purchased OzB Amaysim offers twice, both times my sim packs never arrived and their support told me my purchase had expired and refused a refund.

  I'm sure that other people here have had better experiences, both my GF & her son have had great experiences with Amaysim deals, but personally I won't be trying a third time.
