Amazon Gift Card Cash Back Stacking on Regular Cashback (Shopback)

Hey everyone

I tried searching and reading to the T's & C's but couldn't find an answer.

So the scenario is this: I want to buy a hose reel off Amazon. I believe the item would fall under "gardening" which has a 4% cash back rate.

Shopback also have a 2% cash back on Amazon Gift Cards.

I was planning on buying Amazon Gift Cards at 2% cash back, and then use those gift cards to buy the hose with the 'extra' 4% cash back.

Does anyone know if this works? The T's & C's didn't seem to specify the exclusion of purchases when a gift card is used as the payment method.

Thanks!

I buy all my Amazon products with gift cards, they've all tracked as normal.

  • Which hose reel are you looking at? I was recently in the market for one and steered clear of most of the budget Amazon ones after doing a bit of reading.

      Hozelock Fast Reel

This looks pretty decent. Auto-guide to layer the hose on, and it isn't using a spring re-wind system. I also don't really have anywhere to wall mount so the on-ground reel works better for me.

Oh nice. Hozelock was on my shortlist, but I couldn't find confirmation on whether or not they use standard hose fittings (such as hoselink, which don't). I think they do, but ultimately I went with a Jamec PEM wall mount one as I only have a fairly small space so a short hose was attactive to me. I hope it works out.

Also I use Amazon giftcards for most purchases and get my cashback from cashrewards consistently.

I've never owned a Hozelock but it does look good. I tested one in person and it felt like it was coiling well.

Hoselink is pretty darn good though, they just don't make the type I want!

          Thanks for your comment!
