Samsung 75" QN90A 4K UHD Neo QLED Smart TV QA75QN90AAWXXY $3799 Delivered @ Samsung Education/Government Portal

110

Been watching this model for awhile, other day I posted this deal on it but this is $100 cheaper + free delivery.

This deal made me finally pull the trigger before the 2022 models come in.

The deal is available on both the Samsung Education and Government portals.

Congratz 😁 Great feeling when you finally get it and stop researching aye 😅 hopefully one day I'll be there 🤣

    • Cheers, I snagged the HW-900A for $749 delivered also.

Went to post that along with this and within a couple of hours they had jacked it $150

      • Yeah I was gonna ask about that too, lol. Nice one 😉 I'm looking to do the same, either 75"QN90A/85"QN85A and either Q900A/Q950A. But nothing is urgent, so I'll creep until Black Friday 2022 😅

Btw, when u said you "pulled the trigger before the 2022 models come in"… when they do come in, won't these drop in price? 🤔 i.e. better to have pulled the trigger AFTER?

Be warned the Australian version is worse than US model!

Like most of Samsung's TVs we get the gimped versions like europe because we lack a decent review media to call them out, despite having the same name, design & marketing material our local version is worse, the true equivalent model would be the QN94A which isn't sold here (in previous years we got the Q95T which was equivalent to the US Q90T). We don't get the proper 'Ultra wide Angle' layer, slower motion rates & while I can't confirm exact details of this years models in the past we've only gotten half the number of local dimming zones.

Yep thanks, you forgot to rant about dolby vision also.

        Oooo yes please!

Who doesn't love buying an expensive TV and then rarely getting to see its full capabilities because Samsung didn't want to spend a few extra dollars for the industry adopted HDR standard….

In all seriousness this isn't a bad TV, its just annoying that Samsung continues to deceive most buyers who only look at Amerian reviews and are then unaware what they got is slightly worse despite keeping its very premium price tag.

        • Agreed, but I have done the research going into the purchase and decided it is still a great TV at this price point.

If I paid RRP and discovered the IPS/VA difference I would be annoyed for sure.

    • Just want to say thanks for this post. I know if people dig deep enough they’ll find this info, but as you also mentioned, I think it’s reasonable that people would check out reviews for a specific model number online and then assume that they’re getting the same TV.

So, much appreciated for calling this out. These sorts of posts are always really informative and helpful.

    • Is it just Samsung that ships worse models or do the other big name tv brands like LG and Sony gimp the Australian versions as well?

    • YES!!! another conspiracy theorist 😅🤣😂🤗

It's doing my head in aye, considering I can't find proof

  • Pulled trigger on the q60 85" this mrng from epp Store

    This or 85 qn85a?

    • Not an easy one, personally 85" is too big for my space + I wanted the extra brightness as my room is very bright.

If I had the space and room was a bit darker… not sure, need to weight it up - but I believe the 85" comes with the better panel as outlined in the comment above

I am not sure but I think the Australian qn85a comes with a VA panel, which is better for contrast and brightness compared to IPS panels.

  • Can get it for $3,599 @ Samsung EPP Portal - https://shop.samsung.com/au/multistore/auepp/anz_au/Products…

  • Is QLED same as OLED?

  • I got the 8000 series in a 75 inch from the edu store for $1269 3 weeks ago….. Just called them, still no delivery date

  • Thanks for this. Very close to clicking buy at this price albeit I really want the C1. Just can't justify the $6K price tag for the 77". Might wait to see if it drops to $5K like it did for Black Friday.
