I've been wanting to pick this up for a while now. Thanks op, usual RRP is around $350-400

You must really enjoy this game, to be prepared to pay $250 for this edition!!

      • +4

Yeah your not wrong and i'd say the same thing about people spending $$$ on a lego millennium falcon

        • How fast can this do the Kessel run?

    • Looks great, but I'm unsure how I'd feel being unable to play any of the expansions with it…

  • Cashback ? Never sure where boardgames fit.

    • +1

      None. Toys.

    • Buy now think later. Thanks OP.

      • Last time I did that with a board game I somehow ended up with 2 copies of Pandemic and it got cheaper a few days after I got it. I still haven't played it. :P

        • Yep, got plenty on games here still waiting to play including Pandemic 😉

Cheaper at Hanabee; use newsletter signup discount code WELCOME5 for an additional 5% off, and add a few more specials to make the shipping worth it.

      • +3

        Darn you
Now that I've seen the hanabee price I won't buy from Amazon

Now that I've see hanabee postage I can't buy from hanabee 😣

      • Additional $10ish for freight though.

      • What would you get? I don't know much about boardgames so I don't know what to look for. Also the store doesn't make it easy to see what is discounted. Sorry, it seems like too much work just to save a few bucks in postage when I have to spend a lot more on a few extra boardgames that I didn't want to buy in the first place.

        • Century: Golem Edition - Rank #212 on BGG. Plays really well with 2-5 players and is a bit like Splendor in it's engine building with pretty gems. Easy to learn and teach. Normally around $55

Camel Up (2nd Edition) - Rank #303 on BGG. Not many board games play well with high player counts but this one does and is a fun one. Really good table presence with the foldout tree, weighted stackable camel meeples and pyramid dice shaker. Normally around $45

          • @materix01: Thanks for the recommendations. If I thought there was a reasonable chance of playing more board games I'd probably grab these. As it stands, the board games I have just sit collecting dust. Have you had any experience with Hanabee? If they are good I'll keep them in mind in the future in case our family does eventually get into board games. One of the reasons I like buying from Amazon is their customer service is overall very very good. I do like to support other smaller Australian companies too though.

            • @ozbs25: I made my first order with Hanabee on the 10th (which included this game), and got my delivery yesterday. No probs at all.

          • @Jeffie: I've read there are some fake board games floating around. Is there a chance that you could end up with a fake from Hanabee? I think there is a chance from Amazon but it'd probably be easier to deal with them.

            • @ozbs25: I haven't opened anything yet but the seven games I received all looked legit and sealed.

            • @ozbs25: Fake board games are restricted to a few popular titles and not the ones here. Hanabee is also a legit brick and mortar store using an Australian supplier so I wouldn't worry.

      • +1

        Hanabee price:

        $14.17 - 5% = $13.46

        Cheapest shipping is $9.02

        Total price $22.48

        Saving vs Amazon: -$0.60

        What am I missing?

        • Discounted gift cards for amazon??

        • Additional boardgames, duh. Then you'll be ahead.

And like any good boardgamer, you would know you can never have too many boardgames.

Aren't all board games already 3D just by virtue of existing?

    • So is your 2D TV.

  • Catch has this set for $220

    • +1

sure and that is being sold by Gamerholic
please see his reviews on product review

not sure if it comes via Catch, your experience will be better wrt packing, dispatching etc
Gamerholic has been caught posting fake reviews on rivals websites
also boardgameoracle, has Gamerholic listed as some users have reported issues with this retailer
I don't believe there is another Australian based retailer with such a tag
