It says 100Hz motion rate, is that legit 100Hz or some fake interpolation BS? If I connect a xbox can I get 100fps porn?

    • -1

Forget the Xbox you need a VR headset my friend ;)

    • +1

      60hz on hdmi

    • +8

“Motion rate” is usually the “fake” refresh rate. So this will actually be 60Hz.

Q60 series doesn’t get VRR. I have this model and can confirm no vrr :(

    • +1

I have a Q60 series and the motion is awful

    • 100 faps per second?

Price on EPP site Inc delivery $1619.

    • What is EPP and could you provide a link?

      • If you don't know what is EPP, I don't think you have login to it anyway.

        EPP = Employee Purchase Program

If anyone is interested, the Q60A 85" is going for $2449.99 at Costco in Epping (Vic)

  • Can anyone recommend a TV at around $1000. Mainly streaming and PS5.

    • Depends on what size you want mate.

Around that price point you could find yourself a 50-55inch TV, look for ones that give you a 60hz refresh rate.

Hope after they sell out all old QLED, Neo will get cheaper.

    • Hope so 🤞🏾

    • Any idea when they are releasing micro LED and/or QD-OLED models?

Not a good deal, q70a was around 1900 almost a year ago

$150 less than I paid for same TV at JB few months back which is good. Have had a few issues with it. It makes creaking/cracking noises for a LOOOONG time after its turned off (Which is annoying as its adjacent to bedroom). It has no analog audio output, which means I had to connect edifier bookshelves via bluetooth, fine except the One TV remote setup cannot be used with Edifier speakers for some stupid reason (ie remote setup did not recognise Edifier brand). The smart hub doesnt allow non-approved 3rd party apps to be installed (think same for a lot of brands) so you will need additional hardware for that (I bought an nvidia shield). The TV stand its comes with (if not attaching to wall) is very flimsy, I'm in Melbourne and had to actually hold the TV during the recent earthquake so it didnt fall over. The remote is too basic, ie too few button…i prefer to be able to press numbers to get a certain channel…the remote for my other samsung TV works with this TV though so i sometimes use that one.

But for the price its good value despite these shortcomings assuming not after best picture, best TV speakers (which are really bad)

thanks for the feedback, can you please let me know if there is any motion blur when watching sports? (it can be really annoying)

      • Don't really watch any sports, at least not until the Footy starts. However haven't noticed any motion blur watching some of the Winter Olympics, including some of the ice hockey which might qualify as fast paced action, but maybe I just haven't concentrated on it. There is a setting under picture clarity menu called LED Clear motion that is supposed to 'sharpen' fast moving objects, I assume it exists bc blur can occur, but I've always had that set to Off.

Tough choice. Grab kids or TV during the quakes

      • To be fair, i grabbed my graded pokemon slabs.

    • +1

Yeah the stand is absolutely ridiculous for such a large screen.

Even the old style pedestal stands back in the day on 40inch sets had a much larger footprint.

  • No stock in SA.

  • Purchased one today at the Costco Store for $1649 for store pickup.
Sold at Costco online but $1,789.99 including delivery.

How does this compare with LG Nano Cell around the same price point?
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/lg-nano75-75-4k-ultra-hd-…
    8 million pixels. One-in-a-million picture
Enjoy sharp, detailed pictures designed to reveal the best of what you watch. With around 8 million pixels, Real 4K on LG NanoCell TV delivers a 4K experience designed to surpass expectations*.

Costco has 90 days change of mind policy and I have not picked up the TV yet

    • I think ur LG is better based on the comparisons I've made in store. I did think the Q80 was better than the LG though.

      • My understanding is Samsung Q60 was released in 2019 so they are 2 plus years old

    hard pass awful screen

  • Same price at The Good Guys and Hardly

    • +1

Yes. If you're near a Costco you can get it for $1649 store pick up (no delivery) but good return policy and after-sales from Costco

  • +1

    Also $1649 at costco

  • Do Samsung TV's that cost thousands of dollars still have unblockable, unremovable ads pinned to the home screen?

  • Pretty sure I saw Costco had this for 1650 yesterday

  • Is this better than the TCL C725?

Looking for something max $2500 in a 75" or larger if possible.

TCL is $1795 at GG. If anyone that has researched these or has some advice that would be awesome.
