Router Recommendation for HFC Connection 100Mbps

Hi all

Thinking of changing my Netcomm router because reception is just bad and occasional spikes (only Dota for some reason). Tossing between a good router say ASUS RT-AX3000 or a mesh system Deco m5/9. It's gotta be wireless as I don't want cables around the house. Deco would have better coverage but would ASUS have better ping?

    I have the original Google Wifi, on 100/20 hfc nbn. Getting pretty close to those speeds around the house (usually 105/17)

      I recently upgraded to the latest Google Nest Wifi with Points system, but had to return it because of the daily ~10 minutes dropouts even though NBN had said the connection on their end is great. Reached the same speeds as you said though. Do you have the same issues and just lived with it?

    hmm i might need to get the ASUS and set up AiMesh with a cheaper router…
