It's a toaster, and accepts 4 slices or less apparently. The general idea is you insert bread or breadlike food into it and it applies heat to burn it a bit for you. There is a handy countdown timer etc. Amazon says "Usually dispatched within 1 to 2 months" so might have a wait a few weeks for it to turn up. Don't forget cashback or giftcards etc.

Thanks OP. Check reviews as there may be some electrical safety concerns associated with this toaster.

Unfortunately, this seems to be an issue with all toasters.

TLDR: Modern toasters have heating elements that are corrosion-resistant but fragile. A fancy toaster isn’t necessarily made of better parts, an $80 toaster is unlikely to last you much longer than a $30 one.

    • That's for this post! I actually have a Toaster and Kettle that are both Sunbeam Maestro and have lasted me close to 10 years (white plastic model) they were a reasonable quality model at the time but look very old.
I was willing to pay a little extra for the current Sunbeam Maestro models just based on that percieved reliability but seems it's no longer.
What Kettles/Toasters in Stainless Steel do people recommend these days? I'd like my next one to last at least 5+ years if possible I wanna replace it because it's looking tired not because it fails on me but might be too much to ask unless I wanna pay $200 for a KichenAid or some such.

    • I bought this exact model and the features are great (ie. countdown timer).

Unfortunately it shat its pants the second day. Amazon we’re great as always and I received a refund.

Tough break. I bought one of these from TGG and it failed 3 weeks after end of warranty. Asked Sunbeam nicely and must have hit the right rep as they shipped me a new one free

My old one still working after 10 years. Might keep it.

I think you mean four slices or fewer.

  • Got one just in time with my $10 Prime coupon. Bargain at $49.25 …. Price now back to $95!

  • Shows $95 to me :(

I'm after a new one since my 2.5 years old 4 slice toaster only heats on 1 side, I just have flip the bread and toast again. Wasting my precious morning minutes :D

Damn, thought this was a BOSE speaker from looking at the image alone

I bought a Contempo 4 Slice Toaster from Big W for $29 over 6 months ago, use it daily and it still burns my bread the way I like it.

    • NGL you had me in the first half. :D

  • I have this and it's quite decent. If I were to upgrade, I would want something even larger to accommodate over-sized loaves, cobs etc (width is ok, height could be an issue).

    Kmart $5 for 2 slice, buy 2 or 3.

    • This is the way

    • @ abacus Lateral thinking. I like that.

    • For the public school graduates or Tasmanians, that means you can have the equivalent 4 toasting power for $10.

I've had one of these for a few years. It still works but it's never done a good job of toasting evenly, I have to watch it and turn the bread. Also the removable crumb tray refuses to click in place anymore. I wouldn't recommend it.

    • Turn the bread?! Throw it away already.
