Has anyone managed to actually get an agreed Qantas refund into their bank account?
They said it would take up to 8 weeks but I am at 12 weeks and still nothing.
They have over $2000 of my money that I desperately need.
Tried calling but was on the line for 4 hours with no answer then disconnected.
from other threads, seems normal… even the 4 hours on hold.
I applied for a refund for some flights first week of Jan, got the refund early Feb back to my credit card. Not sure if CC's vs Banks deposits have different speeds in this instance though.
What do you mean by agreed though? I just went through the website for a refund/cancellation. I didn't get a confirmation of the refund though - the booking reference just stopped working when I tried to check on it.
They said over the phone they would refund me.

I cancelled some reward flights in early Feb, got the points back a couple of days later, and got the email yesterday saying they had processed the cash component to my card but hasn't hit as yet.
If you need to call Qantas, I read recently that the best number to call currently is 1300 659 115. This seems to be a direct line which bypasses the main number and gets you someone quicker, give it a try if you want.
I have got my points refunded, but then taken out on the same day, so essentially no real refunds. It happened twice. Also the cash component never got refunded. Their customer service couldn’t understand English but I will keep calling them as I have no other options.
Chargeback?
