$30 extra (compared to past deals) for a plain looking case. Any different to the $12 cases found on Amazon?

    • This case is for big size Joycon. Different from others.

  • I know these get rave reviews, with most people finding the dpad to be a little bit of a let down, but can any owners comment on the analogue sticks?

After watching this video https://youtu.be/iwPQu9EIPqs I'm concerned they use sub-par analogue sticks but I don't really see the analogues mentioned as any point of concern, usually focus is just on the dpad not being great.

I've experienced analogue sticks like this previously, back when I played Xbox 360 quite a lot and ended up needing to replace some analogues as they ended up drifting. I pulled some out of a brand new 3rd party PS2 pad that I had around as the module/pins looked identical, but it was only after I soldered them in and I was testing it that I found they behaved just like the ones in the video above.

Trying to make my character run in a smooth circle (was playing Dark Souls at the time) was impossible because of how the analogues seemed to snap to up/down/left/right, and essentially my character ran in a square shape instead. Ended up having to pull the analogues out again and go with analogues I pulled out of an official controller that I used for parts.

Wondering if all the binboks are like this or if it's an isolated fault/particular batch of analogue sticks they have used.

  • How much the case standalone?

  • Hey rep any chance of a deal closer to 70 aud on this? Looking at purchasing a case and new set of joycons or grips.
