    Thanks

Have this bag, $12.88 is good price, happy with it overall.

Only real issue I have so far is that the side pockets made out of net are smaller than represented in photos IMO.
I haven't been able to fit a small umbrella. Would probably fit like a 450ml Mt. Franklin sparking water bottle, but it would be a tight fit.

I personally don't really use those pockets so not a problem for me.

  • +3

Got this one last time, the main zipper is behind the shoulder straps so take that into consideration. It will definitely make retrieving things from the bag more complicated.

But less than $13 delivered. Eh who cares.

Also agree that the drink pockets are extremely small.

    • +13

main zipper is behind the shoulder straps

Sounds like this would be intended as a security element.

      • Yep. Bought one in last deal. Hidden zip makes it feel much more secure but makes it hard to dip in and out of. But very fit for purpose of carrying a laptop, where you just lay it down and get the computer out.

  • +2

Picked this up in the last deal. Has become my new go-to work backpack. Can't beat it for the price.

  • +1

Got it last time and the zip at the back is weird, you have to move the shoulder straps to open

    • +6

So no one can unzip it on your back.

      • +4

I rather enjoy unzipping from the back

        • Giggity.

  • +3

I've got this bag - having the main zip behind your shoulders is great for security. Plenty of room for the work laptop, accessories, drink bottle, food etc. Its also very comfortable. Its a steal at this price.

    • +8

How'd you assess the quality if you never used it?

      • +1

I'm guessing they never actually used it on a day to day basis

      • +1

I've assessed the quality through daily use. I'm still shocked that a backpack I paid less than $15 for can keep going and going and still look brand spanking new.

      • -1

Used it twice. Just see it as wasted space now. The backpack does not look as appealing and stylish as in the photos. And the stated RRP is a lie

        • -2

Bought it last time and never used

Never used and used it twice are two completely different perspectives

    • +3

I bought it and used it. For $12 or so its a great buy. Can you show me another new bag in the same price range that you would say is better value?

    • It's $12, what can you really expect?

  • +2

For the money it's unbeatable. Having the main zip under the straps makes it a better travel backback as it's harder for someone else to open it while you are wearing it. It is also super light weight.

  • Does it have the Dell logo on the bag? If so, people will know you are carrying a laptop and may want to rob you.

    • Yes it does.

    • +17

I think the Dell logo would be a deterrent

      • I think you are right

  • Would love it. But no real location to put my MBP and iPad. So pass. But thanks.

    • You can't put MBP inside this backpack? I am confused

      • You can. But it only has 1 device slot… so not my MBP and iPad in their own slots.

        • Can you put them next to each other?

  • +1

Just ordered the 17 inch now. Been using a normal backpack and its a pain because the top corners are rounded and its not a good fit. Cheers !

  • +1

Thanks OP, got one to replace my old bag that floated away in the floods…

    • +6

Old bag, you’ll not be lost. Stay strong bro

    • Claim $1000 disaster relief grant

  • Awesome. Picked up the 13" sleeve for $9.79 inc delivery.

    https://deals.dell.com/en-au/productdetail/dgut

    • Awesome find! I’ll chuck that in the description too

      • I like it without protection.

On a serious note, I got the sleeve when it was at what now looks like a huge price but it's durable and nice for my tiny 13" one (laptop that is)

        • Can I ask if it's padded around the edges and corners? I'm getting it for my kid's school laptop. Thanks

          • @skimp: The whole sleeve is padded somehow but maybe not the best as the targus backpack I have. I usually just use it to put it inside my main backpack but it is plenty to use on its own

          • @skimp: If you want to go all the way and protect it I would recommend the Mous case
I got it for my MacBook Pro 13’, a bit pricey but well worth the money imo

  • awsome deal, received cashrew@12% too ,Thanks OP;)

    • +1

      Anytime mate 🤙

    • Is backpack not considered accessory which is 0% CR?

      • yeah you're right 0% it is, still awsome deal for branded bag :)

  • +1

got one… didn't want but yeah.

      That’s the OzB spirit!

  • +1

I honestly have enough bags, but $12 …

    • 17 inch one dropped last time a month after, you can reserve your shopping frenzy for that one :)

      • +1

Or get that one too when the time comes.

      • +1

My main bag is 40L. I need smaller if anything else hahahaha

  • Would the 15 inch fit an Acer Nitro 5? Guess for the price it’s worth a try

    • (Max laptop dimension: 380mm x 260mm x 25mm)

  • Ordered one before but different what they displayed… doesn’t like it

  • +1

    bought, thanks !

  • +2

Great backpack. Got one last deals and was impressed.

  • +1

    Thanks OP!

  • Any reviews on the 17inch bag or is it too big?

  • I’ve got a 16 inch Lenovo Ideapad 5 Pro. Which size bag should I get so that laptop can fit? Do you reckon it’d fit in the 15?

    • (Max laptop dimension: 380mm x 260mm x 25mm)

    • 16 > 15, that's a no brainer ;)

  • +6

I love these deals. When ever a customer brings me there laptop for repair in a coles bag I give them these backpacks

    • Thats customer service right there.

  • Wish the Premier or Roller would drop to OzBargain prize… Need something to travel with..

  • Bought yesterday and shipped today. Should be here tomorrow - very impressed! Hopefully it will make carrying the laptop & iPad into the office once a week easier.

  • +1

Received mine today. Impressed with the super fast shipping. Have to get used to the zipper running underneath the straps, but looks to be a basic but very nice backpack. Awesome value! I even managed to stack it with the recent ShopBack bonus $3 cashback on $10 spend, so it ended up costing me $9.88!

  • 15" link has changed - weird dell.

    • Yeah. Went from

      https://deals.dell.com/en-au/compare/dguv

      To

      https://deals.dell.com/en-au/productdetail/djpz

      15" laptop bag still discounted.

Got email confirmation of my purchase yesterday of this bag and it says eta april 26. Im like. Surely its not taking over a month to deliver to sydney metro a product thats clearly in stock.

    • All the links have been changed - I’ve just updated it, tho had to mark the 15” Essential Backpack as Expired because price has increased to $13.81

      • is there any difference between the 15 and 17 other than just holding a bigger laptop

        • If you compare the pictures, you'll see the designs are quite different.

  • Dam inflation has hit laptop bags now too.

  • My laptop bag i bought march 17 has april 26 as eta. 😭

  • Anyone not receive their order yet? I ordered the 15" backpack and 13" sleeve, have a ship date of 16/3, eta 24/3, it hasn't arrived as of 1/4.

However the 15" briefcase I ordered a week later has already arrived.

    • I ordered a 15" backpack on march 17 and was given april 26 as eta.

Then i ordered a 17" backpack on march 22 and that arrived yesterday. Eta for this was today.

    • Has your order been dispatched from the Dell warehouse?

If not I reckon the eta could’ve changed as I believed they may have an increased in sales cos I listed the deal on OzB

      • +1

This is all your fault. 😂

Thanks for posting by the way.

    • Lol, yes I reckon they would have seen an uptick of sales after this post went live.

I spoke to Dell sales and they advised that because Sydney stock ran out, mine is being shipped from Malaysia, so give them another couple of weeks.

At the price we're paying, I guess we can't fault them for not using a faster service!

      • This could explain why my 15" bags eta is april 26 when i bought the 17" bag days later which i already recieved yesterday. Shame though as i was hoping to take that overseas.

      • For $12.88 and the shipment is coming from Msia, that’s a solid deal I would say haha, free international delivery
