  • This is super appealing to me - I've been having arm pain from heavy mice! I thought I needed a vertical mouse so I swapped to that and it was way heavier and made it worse T_T

Price is still steep for me but seems like an investment to make someday!

Maybe spending less time on your pc except work is the key😅

      • This is a gaming mouse 😅

    • +7

Sounds like you need to thoroughly review the ergonomics of your set up. Especially the height of the desk/chair.

    • Which part of you arm are you feeling pain?
I increase the dpi of my mouse and i barely move my arm at all.

Adjust your seating and desk ergonomics then change your mouse settings.

Maybe compounded by holding phone and iPad for extended periods too

Ive read that wrist-rests with mice can actually make wrist problems worse, so if you use one of those id read into that as well. Otherwise like others have said, id look into your setup as a whole rather than the mice itself. There's plenty of videos about this and its very important, if you're a heavy gamer as well it can also help with performance, making sure your ergonomics are made comfortable for your body.

      • +1

I never understood why people bought wrist rests for mice, for keyboards (especially thicc mech keyboards) I can understand. But every very soft, squishy or firm mouse wrist rest I've ever owned only feels like I'm gonna get carpal tunnel faster.

    • What others have said plus look at switching from claw grip to palm grip. If your hand is big stay away from small mouses too

Why is this better than the 'old school' Logitech MX Anywhere 2 mouse

    • +1

It's pretty much half the weight, has a much better sensor, switches etc

    • I had a Logitech g403 and just upgraded to a Logitech MX Master 3… and regret it.

I find the MX to be:
      Too heavy
Not ergonomic - the additional height makes my wrist extend more, the 'ergonomic' shape forces you to hold it with more pronation than my regular grip on the g403
Middle click takes significant more force to activate

Bought it from umart who don't do change of mind returns so I'm not sure what I'll do but currently I have both on my desk in and reach for my G403 more often

      • +1

I went from g403 wireless to this
Yes it's a better mouse but the g403 just feels better

      • Pretty sure you can still refund it, give it a try.

    • +1

better feet, better build quality, better switches ( i think ), much lighter, MUCH better sensor. better shape.

The MX series of mice are mainly productivity/office mice, meaning the sensors don't have to be all that accurate as you're just scrolling through pages. For office work they're amazing and ergonomic, and nowadays the MX series of mice have decent enough sensors for most gaming stuff, but my friend has has multiple different versions of older MX mice like the master 2, and they have horrible input lag for competitive games. In some cases unusable.

This mouse is essentially just the performance line for Logitech. One of the best sensors, weight (without holes) and stock feet for a decent glide.

    • I have both, love both.

  • Does it only move in German electro funk? Think I would prefer a proper brittish mouse

    • Nah it just says "i, i, i" like a good German mouse does, instead of "squeak, squeak, squeak" like and English speaking mouse.

For those looking for a cheaper wireless gaming mouse, the Razer Orochi V2 is around $60-70. Note that it is battery-powered (which is perfect if you've got Eneloops lol) and the shape/size is different from the Logitech of course.
I haven't used the Logitech G PRO X Superlight Wireless so I can't comment on comparisons between the two. Only that the price differential is fairly significant.

    • +2

I have the orochi v2 and its really good as i can use both the 2.5ghz for my pc and Bluetooth for my laptop. Powered by my impulsed eneloop buys

  • +1

Note that the German version has the left button on the right hand side and vice versa

  • Can you program the buttons to do volume? Like on my current Logitech

    • +1

Yep - it's through the same G Hub software.

  • Razer Viper V2 Pro is coming out soon with USB-C charging and will weigh even less than the Superlight.

Razer though. Had 2 products broken from them in a matter of 3-4 months. Deathadder started double clicking which they said broke, sent me a new one worked fine, 2 weeks later, same problem.

      • I think these have a long term double click issue too, could be thinking of the non-ultra light model.

      • Funnily enough, these actually have reports of double clicking where the vipers don't

        • You are mistaken for the non superlight model and yes it sucks I have had to RMA at least 3 by now.

      • Double click is impossible on newer razer mice because of optical switches. which deathadder did you have?

        • Just the normal one, I know the $27 viper a month ago was optical but mine was mechanical

  • I don't quite get why the battery life varies so much in the logitech lightspeed series. I have a G603 lightspeed which I have set to the hi polling mode and I need to recharge the AAA's every 4-5 months using it 6+ hours per day. Why can the Pro X only get 70 hours?

      • Makes sense. Having not used a lightweight mouse myself the weight of the G603 seems normal to me :) I can't imagine replacing it with anything else. I use rechargeable AAA's and when the batteries can't store charge I can just replace them with new rechargeables (although that's yet to happen really since I don't need to recharge the batteries that often anyway). Not sure how easily you can replace the internal batteries on more recent models when they stop holding charge.

  • Thanks a bunch! i actually had the tab open of this mouse comparing this and the model o but was about to add the eu one to my cart as it was cheaper when i opened it, grabbed one last night and the price has now dropped to $165, with and with the prime 15$ off that makes it an even better deal!
