shopback is 2%. I'll grab this now and add it to my account. Thanks

    • +8

You can add it to your account in 2 weeks after arrival…

    • -1

      No shopback on this order

      • +14

I believe that they are saying that Shopback is 2% cashback on the purchase of Amazon gift cards, therefore this 5% is a better deal.

        • +8

It is strange, many of us have different ways of interpreting that comment:

shopback is 2%. I'll grab this now and add it to my account. Thanks

I initially thought what that person meant was that

shopback is 2% (therefore) I'll grab this (meaning discounted Amazon Giftcards through Shopback at 2%) now and add it to my account (instead of waiting 1-2 weeks for delivery of the 5% discounted gift cards through AusPost

Maybe my comprehension skills are just awful.

          • +2

            @Lucille Bluth: No, it means
"As it's only 2% cashback over at ShopBack, I'll grab this (one with a higher cashback) now"

    • Auspost not available on shopback at the moment

  • +7

5% off (eGift cards) at HCF, Lumo Rewards, NIB Rewards, Australian Unity Wellplan as well, but I believe they all have CC fees so this may well be the cheapest.
Also don't think Crypto.com Visa card will pay cashback at any of the above but will with Australia Post so there's that too.

    • When I try to complete payment using crypto.com card, after I click "Place my order" button.. The credit card section expands with a blank box and payment isn't processed so not sure what is going on there.

      • +3

Worked for me with Paypal (And got cashback)

        • I should of went through Paypal instead!

          • +2

@hypnOtixx: Can confirm CRO card works on PayPal.. thanks @wangasm, decided to just pay through PP after reading your comment.

  • +4

thanks OP, this works for me. I don't like Shopback / Prezzee.

  • Thanks OP, Got some while there's stock!

  • +4

Payment via Klarna worked, for those collecting Vibes (via PayPal only). Generate the $95/$190 one time use card at paypal.com as it won't work at auspost.com.au, then add the one time card to your paypal account at checkout.

    • How many vibes do you get for this?

      • +1

$1 spend on Klarna = 1 Vibe, wherever you spend.

1 Vibe = 3 Flybuys points = 1.5% return. Example: Spend $100 at retailer, get 100 vibes, exchange for 300 flybuys points, exchange 300 flybuys points for $1.50 in flybuys dollars.

Credit card rewards/points on top, when you pay off your Klarna balance.

    • What are Vibes? Couldn't find it via Google.

      • +2

Reward points which you exchange for Flybuys points https://www.klarna.com/au/rewards/

Note: They do credit check on sign up.

        • Thanks. Lol, always another thing to stack on for cashback these days.

          • +2

@faithdealer: If you want to make things really confusing, you can then pay off your Klarna balance with bundll to get 1 velocity point for every $5 spent (only works on the installments, not the initial payment). However that is a really low return so not that important.

    • Gives error on klarna app while making payment via klarna card, "Due to regulatory and risk reasons we do not allow purchases with this merchant.

      • You generated card on paypal.com, not auspost.com.au right? Then paid via Paypal on the Auspost website, adding your Klarna card to Paypal at checkout. If so, they might have changed/fixed it.

        Pic

        • Yes

          • @Modesty: You will need to add that one-time card back to your paypal account and then choose pay with paypal on Australian Post website.

  • Thanks OP.

  • Says max 2?

    • -1

      2 per transaction.

  • Thx

  • thanks! ordered 2. Wasn't completely sure if any cc fees so went with paypal

  • Thanks. I wanted to turn a "Mastercard Gift Card" in to Amazon credit, but Amazon was rejecting the card. This process allowed me to do it and save a few bucks. Thanks OP.

  • the limit is 2 per transaction.

  • +1

got it into my cart then OOS at checkout - sigh…

  • Can't not get this

Anyone know when 15% off catch gift cards will be next available? Approximately?

    • You think you will get 15% ?
Last one I got from Target was 10% .
GL to the Dummies still waiting for a 20% Coles drop .

      • You're right, last one was only 10% off

Damn, just missed out on 22% catch back through afterpay weekend

  • thanks op

  • +1

    OOS

  • Man that sold out quick!

    • Plenty of people buying 2 X xx times .
With their cards until it falls .

  • Probably lucky I missed out, knowing Australia Post they will arrive this time next year.

    • Mine just arrived and added to my account.

      Sent by express post.

  • +4

I wouldn't trust my postie on delivering a gift card, even with $5 savings.

    • +1

Last time I bought 20% discount Ultimate GCs from Australia post they arrived just fine.

      • There is 20% chance of my postal items get delivered to wrong address. I'm not joking.

      • Used to buy a ton of Westfield GCs when they were fee-free and had no issues with delivery. They arrived inactivated, and you'd have to call to verify ID and activate.

  • Back in stock?

  • Just bought now.
    Cheers OP.

  • Out of stock again

  • -1

You’ll be seeing these cards in the post in 5 years time

  • +8

Dont be too disappointed if you've missed out on this deal. For the $5 savings, its not worth the stress in waiting so long for them to come in the mail and wondering if they'll even come at all.

  • +13

idk man that's a lot of hassle for a $5 saving

    • +1

agree, if it was a digital card then I would have bought it. I have lost lot of money with physical gift cards before. having said that, Amazon/Apple gift cards are quite easy to add to the account.

  • I have bought Amazon GCs through AusPost in the past when SB used to offer cashback. Always came very quickly and shipped usually the next business day.

Usually arrived within a few days to a week from my experience to metro Melbourne.

  • +3

    Back in stock lol

    • +1

Cheers, got em, after randomly checking, lol

  • -1

    That's not a bargain!

  • Thanks got 2 cards.

  • Gone again…

  • Just ordered 2 cards. Thanks, OP

  • -8

not going to bag someone for posting but… at 5 bucks off …scraping the barrel of ozbargain

    • +2

But you see, amazon credit works with shopback. So it's a stacking of discounts.

    • +15

5% off is 5% off. If you buy on Amazon anyway who cares. Just saved $10 on $200 gift cards which i spend on groceries and household needs that are 50% off on amazon

$10 better in my pocket than not

      • +2

        That's the ozbargain spirits . I love it :)

    • +8

Savings are savings. Every dollar counts..

    • 5% further discount on any Amazon bargains that are posted… sounds good to me?

What's your threshold of acceptable bargains?

    • 5% off is not a bargain… not in my books… it's $5 off $100… it's a saving at best. Thanks for positing but i can't believe the bar is that low now for a bargain post on here. Thanks for the neg votes kids :)

    • +1

It’s a tool for saving an extra $5 by using on ANOTHER, GOOD bargain. Free $5.

  • Tbanks OP. got 2 cards.

  • +4

last time i bought gc from auspost I had to call them up after receiving it to get it activated. Waited 40minutes on the phone. Not sure if its worth the effort for extra 2% off.

    • +1

This one isn't already activated? Anyone have experience with Amazon gift cards from Australia Post?

      • +1

Happened to me too. Couldn’t add my batch of “activated” amazon gift cards to my account so had to call them up too to get them activated. I’m guessing it happens to select few but hopefully won’t happen again.

        • Not really worth the hassle then. Not everyone in Australia is getting post delivered. Often people outside of the cities have to go to pick up their post from the post office… I rather buy from prezzee or shopback and have it instantly. No mucking around with waiting, activating and going to the post office to pick it up! Easter is coming and offers will come soon from Prezzee and Shopback!

        • Same I get hit by about 1 in 70 not activated .
That makes them worst in the business for physical cards not being activated .

      • +2

That's unlucky. I have bought AusPost Amazon GCs at least 10 + occasions. Each time they came activated.

  • Thanks OP.

  • Got 2 thanks OP

  • Thanks got 2.

  • +12

Beware to check that your cards work when they arrive and use Paypal to pay. On two separate occassions I've bought Amazon GC from AusPost online, they hadn't been activated and I had to post them back at my expense before AusPost would replace them.
I realise that ACL should apply to returns, but it is hard to have that argument over the phone and I wasn't going to send $100s of GC back without 'insurance' and tracking. It was much easier to use Paypal's refunded returns policy to get reimbursed for the return postage and insurance.

    • +2

Definitely this, has happened to me as well. Had to spend ages over the phone to sort it out + posting them back and waiting. After that experience it's just not worth the effort/risk for me personally, particularly with a deal like this where you're limited to only saving a measly $4 more than instant digital purchases of discounted amazon gift cards

    • Wow I didn’t know this can happen. Ok I will definitely check when it arrives. If this problem happens then I won’t be buying from them again.

    • +1

      Thanks for the input.
That's basically worth a neg for the deal.
Should probably be mentioned as warning for others.

      • It all worked okay in the end. Just a hastle and wasted time.
I suspect that the AusPost problem was a bunch of newb, insufficiently trained staff due to Covid. Hopefully they've fixed their systems.
Paypal return guarantee made sorting it out much simpler.
I'd buy again, though for a total saving of <$10, it depends how much you value your time.

    • Thanks for sharing. What's the best way to check these GC without binding its credit to an Amazon account? Will be giving few away as gifts.

    • I bought 2.
      Activated 1 and it worked.
Activated the 2nd and it says invalid code.
Was on the phone for 45 mins with Amazon
And spent another 20 emailing Auspost. Yet to hear back from them.

      A royal pain.

      • +1

They've probably only activated one of the cards. That is what happened to me the second time i bought amazon cards from auspost.
It is probably easiest to just claim a paypal refund on the second card unless you're planning on wasting a lot of time and effort

  • Just checking, you can't pay for Prime with Amazon gift cards, right?

    • You're right, you can't use GC for prime membership.

  • Oos

    • No it's not, just ordered

      • Ah strange. After a few refreshes the out of stock button disappeared and was able to order.

        Thanks for the heads up.

  • +1

Why is this deal so popular for just a $5 saving? Am I missing something?

    • +1

Technically $3 more than usual, with risk of getting unactivated GCs..

      • $2 if you have Suncorp rewards :)
