I got it for $29.94 - there was an additional 20% coupon applied at checkout!

Thanks OP, been looking out for one for aaages.

I got a Blue Crazy Horse edition late last year and it started developing bumps and creases on one side. Not to mention my fingers turned a bit blue for the first few days using it.
Emailed customer service with photos and the reply is it is normal and it's called "Patina" which I do not agree at all.

Just bear in mind if this is the "patina" you are after.

    • +4

Get the cheaper, 'active' silicone/rubber one to avoid the bumps and creases.

    • +7

At least that shows it's real leather and not that "PU Leather" bullshit

      • -1

You dont know what you talking about, the 'PU leather' bullshit also can develop bumps and creases

  • How do you get free delivery?

    • Nice. I think I might try to use them to make my own. Have tons of leather hanging around I use for watch straps.

  • +1

Haven't used both but if anyone here has how's this one in comparison with the keysmart https://www.amazon.com.au/KeySmart-Compact-Holder-Keychain-O…

    • +1

I looked at the keysmart, especially the one with Tile built-in. But too many reviews of the plastic being too brittle and cracking put me off. There's not much to go wrong with an OrbitKey - it's a well-machine bolt and a strap of quality leather.

One thing to watch for, if you use a Yubikey NFC or similar, the proximity to other metal objects will severely interfere with the NFC.

  • Thanks OP, purchased. Bellroy Key Cover only lasts couple of years so time for a change…..

$30 for a keyring. Surrender your ozbargain licence

    • -1

Haha it's a little more than a keyring for thise ozbargainers looking for a bit comfort while carrying a bunch of keys in their pants

    • nah mate
I have to demerit your license for not knowing how popular these are on ozBargain for this price.

      • +1

I'm aware of their popularity, just consideration of buying one is cause for probation imo

    • +3

It's one of the only sanctioned ways we are able to locate each other in the wild.

    • Agree, the screws are around a dollar, so how much for a small strap of leather? Should be $10 retail not near $40.

  • +4

I'm not seeing the checkbox coupon, am I missing something?

    • Cant see it either. No deal!

  • These things are great, until you actually need to get the keys out to open a door whilst carrying something.

  • +2

Got a pair of 'knockoffs' for $5 from aliexpress. Only issue I've had with it is having to retighten the screw three times in a year.

    • +1

Use a low strength threadlocker :)

    • Wonder if getting some of that plumbers tape or screwlock drops would solve that?

    • Found the same with mine. Been meaning to get some Locktite, but have also read nail polish will do the same.

  • I cant seem to get the coupon to show up, not sure if its still available.

  • +1

    Coupon no longer available :(

    • +1

      Arrrggghhh!

  • +1

    expired? mine shown -25% $37.42

  • +2

Crazy Horse? I thought they closed that place down

    • +3

Think you're confusing it with Sex Cauldron.

      • +2

Thanks a lot, Marge. That was our only burlesque house.

  • is there anything special about this particular brand? I got a feeling that you could probably pick up something similar for $10 at your local Sunday market………….

    • +2

Quality of the metal machining and the leather basically.

You can get knock-offs on your favourite Chinese tat reseller website, but they won't have the same feel.

  • no coupon anymore, but just bought one for 38 bucks

  • +3

I've had mine for maybe… 5-7 years… Not sure exactly, but I think it was v1, but not when they first launched (2013). Still going strong.

  • I've been rocking my 1 euro keyring from Rome for about 19 years, didn't know I 'needed' this.

  • I think I've had mine for about ten years. I recently learned that they don't like going through the washing machine, but it's still going strong.
The coupon might be gone, but it's still 25% off RRP.

  • What do you guys do with bulky car keys?

    • +1

Put them on the D Ring that comes with the Orbitkey

  • Perfect!
