  • Any catches to using AirBNB gift cards? Seems like an amazing deal if you regularly use AirBNB.

  • If anyone is able to successfully purchase and get an Airbnb gift card delivered, please let me know. I was able to purchase one last night, but it went into a pending status, and this morning the order was cancelled, and I'm yet to receive an email from Amazon that it's been cancelled. My Amex was charged for the card, and I haven't received the gift card via email either.

    • Just ordered one and it was delivered within 2 minutes, not sure why yours was cancelled.

      • Thanks for responding. I'll check with Amazon chat to see if I can find out more.

    • +1

I just bought a $200 one paid with part Amex, part Amazon gift card and received it after 5 minutes.

    • +1

Mine is also stuck in 'scheduled' status — very frustrating!

    • Same

  • Just wondering what will happen if I buy $200 gift card and use only $150. Will the balance going to stay in the card or in airbnb account? Thanks

    • +1

You add the gift card to your account as account credit prior to making a booking. You will still have $50 account credit remaining in the account.

  • Can you order/use multiple cards? About to book an Airbnb for 2 weeks so this could be a big saving if we can.

    • +1

you buy whatever value and load it onto your account and it stays on your account till you use it

  • Can anyone clarify whether you can use an AirBnB gift card to pay the balance of an existing booking? Again I have read conflicting accounts…

    • When looking into this previously there was no option to do so.

    • +1

Yes, after loading the gift card into my Airbnb account, I was able to see the option of using the credit to pay off an existing booking

      • +1

Thanks for the heads up! Lots of people said you can’t do this but maybe they have changed it.

        • Too late ☹️

  • Cheers OP. Grabbed one for Kayo and delivered in 5 mins.

  • can i stack this with the Victorian dining and entrainment offer?

Not sure if it works if i pay with giftcards

  • bought 10 x $500 airbnb

airbnb loads GC to credit like amazon so always good to stock up

  • +1

I think you can pay with amazon GC as well

  • Thanks OP. Topped up on Kayo / Binge credit.

Ended up with 15% off as I bought an Amazon gift card via this SB deal

    • +1

Not quite my friend. Assume you bought a $100 Amazon Gift for $95. Using that $100 you get a $110 Kayo Card. 15/110 = 13.64%

  • maybe a stupid question - but is there a usage validity for the AirBNB gift cards? Travelling next year and want to ensure they remain usable.

    • +1

This is what I have on the gift card I just purchased:

      Terms and Conditions
Card balance does not expire. No fees apply to purchase or activate this Card. Redeemable by Australian residents towards the purchase of eligible goods and services on the Airbnb website and app. Use requires an Airbnb account. Card is non-reloadable and cannot be redeemed for cash, refunded, returned or resold, except where required by law. Issuer is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen cards, or for unauthorised use. View Card balance by signing in to your Airbnb account. Issued by Airbnb Ireland UC. Looks like you're good!

        Thankyou so much!

Ordered a Kayo one about 45 mins ago and it still hasn't come, annoying that it says 5 minutes

    • got mine in under 5mins. weird

      • +1

It came about 6 and a half hours after purchase, really weird

  • Thanks, topped up some Kayo.

  • Looks like Airbnb have expired . no discount in the cart for me ..

    • try again. works fine once you get to the checkout

      • Thanks got it to work on the app , the desktop version would not deduct the 10%..

  • Currently traveling overseas will Airbnb gift card still work? Just checking it's not only for use within Aus.

Amazon page confirms that Airbnb is out of stock

    • not surprising… one guy above said he "bought 10 x $500 airbnb"

      • i bought 10 x $500 and got cancelled by amazon
said they detect unusual activity, bummer…

  • Cannot see discount when in the cart

    • same

I think it applied after the purchase. This is amazon! 🤷🏽‍♂️

      • +1

No that's not going to happen. My words of advice - don't trust Amazon too much. Its service is gone downhill for a long time.

  • Bought the Airbnb any charged the full amount sigh particularly my fault. I guess 'withdrawn anytime' means while they were still advertising the discount.

    • Ask for a return.

  • Just did the online chat thingy with Amazon.

As a heads up if you don't see the discount at checkout it's not going to apply.

I suggested they remove the Airbnb altogether which is pretty unlikely to happen I'd say.

  • Offer removed? I tried to buy a kayo gift card but it's charging me full price.

    • +1

I just ordered two Kayo cards and it shows the discount at checkout.

  • I ordered as soon as the deal was posted. Like others it didn't deliver straight away and said it was processing. It still hasn't come through and I can no longer see the order in my order history but I've been charged for it on my amex. Strange, I'll have to chase them up about it but its a bit of a pain.

    • Turns out it was cancelled as it had to be manually verified and they were meant to call me but didn't. Live chat support is basically useless, thought amazon were better on that front. I've re ordered, hopefully this time it goes through.

Airbnb is back in stock :)

    • Did it go out of stock again, never saw it in stock at mid-day. Did you actually buy some with the 10% discount ?

      • Yep looks as such, I got $500 worth @ 10% off when I commented so it was definitely back in stock for a bit.

        • Did it still say Airbnb out if stock at the top of the page ?

          • @regenade: it was back in stock for awhile. when I looked again in evening it was done again

  • I received Kayo but can't redeeme it as it says this card seems to be invalid
"This offer isn't available or may have expired. Here are the options available to you."

. Any one have any ideas if it takes time for the card to work ?

    • I had this problem too. Contacted kayo support about it. It has been apparently escalated. Still waiting to hear back from them.

    • FYI: This has been sorted. They never got back to me but when I contacted them today, they advised to try again and they worked this time. Something about a campaign being expired but now they have extended it.
