i've got this pillow. Hated it when i first got it, but now i cannot sleep on any other pillow

    • Kind of the same experience I had with the Tempur mattress. Now love it.

      • +5

Same experience with my wife. It's a traditional marriage in reverse.

    • what did you hate about it?- i got it and had some neck pain after so ceased it- wonder if i should have persisted with it? is it much better than your previous pillow

      • Couldn’t get comfortable on it, hurt my neck. Now, pretty much when I sleep on another pillow, have a bad sleep

        • +2

Having to go through neck pain in order to sleep comfortably doesn't sound right to me..

    • Just curious, are you a back or side sleeper?

  • This is a great Pillow

  • +1

    What's the normal price?
    (in before jv)

    • Site says $349

    • $300 odd with the occasional sale down to under $200. Unless you are buying a Tempur mattress where they occasionally throw them in for free, this is a very cheap price for this overpriced pillow.

  • great pillow - works for side sleepers like me

What the hell.. I bought a similar memory foam sort of pillow of eBay for only $20 delivered. Seems a little expensive.

Only word of caution here is I believe these are available in 4 different 'depths'. S M L XL

Appears this one is the medium 11 cm.
Small is 9.5 Large is 12.5 and XL is 14cm.

    • I wish I knew they have different size - bought one which turns out to be M size and it's a little bit too low for me (I'm a back sleeper)
Do you know which shop sells the L and XL (found L at Domayne, but XL)

      • Maybe talk to DJ about a refund and then hold out until you can get the one you are after? Might be an availability of stock issue.

        • cheers, I bought the M size a long time ago but have not been using it since it's not tall enough.
Will check DJ and see if they have XL and if I can try it.

      • I only found out about this difference in sizing when looking at this deal. I have another Tempur pillow in Large and didn't know it came in other sizes (store didnt stock other sizes). Its a tad too tall and makes it uncomfortable for me. Except if I buy a M size I don't know where I would get rid of this one, since its a hygiene product…

For all the millennials that think they need it ;-)

  • Cheers I'll give it a try đź‘Ś

Unsure whether to get the Millenium or the Original (also available for $131 on David Jones)! Original seems to be more designed for side sleepers, but plenty of good reviews for the Millenium by side sleepers

I recommend adding the Original to the deal, by the way - last time it was posted for this price it was very popular

  • As a light sleeper who's very picky with pillows. I bought the other tempur when it was on a deal as well. Honestly, having now slept on it for 5 months. I would pay the full price if I had to. Best life investment I've spent. Completely changed the way I sleep.

    • That being the Original? What made you choose it over the Millenium?

      • +2

Yeah, the original, because sometimes I sleep on my side and it's easier with the original

        • +1

Hmmmm, so conflicted - I'm 90% on my side (occasionally back), but see a lot of positive reviews for the Millenium from side sleepers too

    • Even just paying less from other retailers for the same product. Like tlclatex pillows.

      • +1

They're just not the same. I've gone through so many pillows, I actually have a TLClatex in the closet now, just not the same.

Tempur is on a different level, yes, it's expensive, $340 expensive? Debatable, but for me, as someone who's suffered from crap sleep. It's the first pillow I've used that allayed that.

        • It's usually just height that affects comfort/sleep. It's great that you found one you like though!

          • @onlinepred: Firmness as well

            • @he11bent: Yes, some people like firmer or softer pillow, but in the end it's where the pillow leaves your head. I had a tempur for 5 years and just got the tlclatex one, I didn't really notice a difference except that the tempur made my head sit slightly higher, maybe 1cm or so. If you got a tempur that was higher, you would hate it.

    • Jusr curious, are you a back or side sleeper?

  • Do these get hot?

  • +4

Why is it always the Karen's that leave reviews.

"The pillow is too high for me. My neck nearly broken after a few nights sleep on it."

    Exaggerate there much champ? lol

    • +2

considering she might have paid $300+ for the pillow may explains the kareness.

  • Bought the M version last year. Got neck pain and numbness in my arms after waking up. Never got better so decided not to sleep on it anymore
I think the S version wouldve been good tho

    • You've got to buy the right height suitable for yourself. This is a back sleeper pillow but it sounds like you're a side sleeper and used it that way, which is not what this is designed for.

  • +2

Wouldn't buy without trying it first. I went to Harveys and tried all of them before choosing one, and I'm glad I did.

  • Love the tempur pillows I got with the tempur mattress. Take it everywhere, including on holidays and camping

  • +1

I feel like i am in this long journey in search for a good pillow. they all start ok, then they either get too hot, too soft, too hard, too high, too low. Bought two for myself and the missus.

    • +3

This is the one that transformed pillows for me https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/141782547058

2 years and it's still the same shape and firmness as the day i bought it. I used to wake up with crippling migraines and could barely move my neck like it seized, went through dozens of pillow until i got this. So if the Tempur doesn't work give the Dunlopillo a go.

      • +1

Oh thanks! Yeah I've tried dozens too but havent ventured into this expensive pillows yet apart from the above tempur.

  • Can any one comment on how hot or cool the pillow is for your head.

I've tried other latex/foam ones but they all get a bit hot for me.

  • When does the sale end?

  • +1

The shape is definitely good for back or side sleeping, however I got a Memory foam one the same shape and size from ebay for much cheaper (i think ~$40 delivered) with 'cooling gel pad'.

It was hard as a rock for the first few weeks, however perfect ever since. I've had it for over a year so far and I have cervical spondylosis.
Unless this Tempur one performs some type of miracle, the cheapy I have is perfect for me.
