Universal budget arcade stick with a recent price drop. Only gotcha for modern consoles is that you must plug in a genuine console controller, which may be a deal breaker for some. Camelcamelcamel shows cheaper price from 2+ years back but I suspect that was for the previous v1.

Here is a review from Captain Frugal (fitting for this website) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7A_lFFYjHgQ&t=592s

If you prefer Sanwa buttons then you might wish to wait for a sale on the already upgraded F500 Elite, currently selling for $348.99. Or go with the smaller form factor and already upgraded F300 Elite selling for $184.99, which also looks like a bargain.

Next day delivery with Prime membership.

Should work with the miss and missus too.

      Sorry I'll let myself out.

But will it work with the MISTress?

        * i will see myself out also.

Yep, I used one with the MiSTer last year, plug and play, just map the buttons in interface like any other controller.

Not compatible with the Dreamcast. No deal.

  • Not compatible with PS5?

    • +1

Yes compatible, but using a PS4 controller according to the firmware update release notes. Unfortunately I don't have any of those lying around :(

You can get a F300 for just over $100 on amazon as well. I would like something that works with my c64/a500 mini when it arrives

  • I got right into fighting games last year. Bought every fighting game I could get my hands on from SF onwards. Bought a Raion controller which was pretty handy. Then ended up getting a Razer Panthera Evo arcade stick. After 4 weeks I developed tennis elbow on my stick side. Really put a damper on the whole thing.

Ever looked into a hitbox? All buttons no stick.

    • As an aside, did you have the pleasure of playing The Last Blade 2?? I haven't played anything new since probably Injustice and Mortal Kombat X, but LB2 has always been a stand out for me. Sorry to hear about the tennis elbow!

I haven't but it looks like it's up my alley. Mainly playing a bit of Garou: Mark of the Wolves lately. Note: I'm am rubbish at all fighting games but I'm having fun! Still a jumping noob.

        • If youre having fun with Garou, jump on Kof XV!
