    No

    • I upgraded a 500GB nvme to this from the $189 deal from HT.. works well.. i now have a fast nvme if we ever need to use the 7000mbps for GPU cashing.. its now on windows 10 and 11

Maybe someone who wants extra storage on their PS5s

O shit I totally forgot about that lmao

    • YES, for development purposes.

    • Hahaha.

I bought this 2 weeks ago upgrading from a boot drive 500gb 3400mbs read nvme m.2 drive. This new drive reads at 6895mbs for my boot drive and I can't tell the difference.
Maybe like 2 seconds faster booting onto Windows and my games did install a little faster but that's it. No difference. Lol

ye exactly lol, I only bought it incase some shit with windows 11 and game cacheing or something idfk.

but at that point preety sure gen 5 drives will be a thing

        • Totally agreed. I have a 5800x and 6800xt red devil so game cacheing would definitely be cool. Pitty no games to cache for ages. Hahaha haha.

I'll have upgraded to the next gen 5 by that time. Lol

    this speed needed

    I feel the need.

  • how to check if your laptop can support gen 4 nvme?

    • +2

Find out your laptops model, and view it's specs.

      • any apps like gpuz or cpuz can tell?

        • Check the bottom of your laptop for a model number.

If for some reason you don't have that sticker, you can also type "System Information" on your windows search bar. (If it's a windows PC)

        • The laptop model is on the bottom of some laptops.

    • Download and install a program called hwinfo64 and see what it says.

Shopping Express is KS Computer, unless I'm mistaken?

Edit: Just going off this post, but might be a different KS Computer.

        • Nope Kai Seng = Futu Online

        • Nice…guess i will just try for the Steam Credit and see what happens. I rarely use Steam but it would be a nice unexpected bonus.
