Not saying this isn't a nice deal but has been cheaper. As OP suggested grab only if you need. otherwise HODL

    • definitely! grab if you really really need it, otherwise keep using your 1080 or 980 until lower price or 40 series.

      • What would you buy for a new build today?

        • +1

5600x + 3060Ti is enough for most games in 1440p.

    • Trade-off time as OP said. Indicative power usage of 4800 is ridiculous. Hopefully that comes back down for the 70s and lower, though even they may need a PSU upgrade , power adapters and case upgrades to fit the dam things..

Even more crazy, people are suggesting to wait for out the 4000 release for the inevitable revisions or the 5000 series!

  • Just wait till end of Q2… things will start coming down.

    • Can't wait till end of Q2 and hope more sale popping up this or next week!

    • +8

At the end of Q2 we will be saying "wait till September when the new gen comes out". It's the never ending HODL. hehehe

      • September 2022: wait 5 months, only chumps pay full price
March 2023: wait a bit longer, the Super variants are out soon …

    Can't justify paying $1K on GPU when a PS5 or XBX cost 3/4 that…

    • apples and oranges

    • +3

I have issues fitting an xbox into my PC case … how did you do it?

  • -2

    HODL

    • -1

      ??

      • Its a meme to hold and not sell (or buy in this case)

        • Non LHR has been advocating the past few weeks to buy not hodl, so I was perplexed by that

          • @Springkse: Under new management now…

  • +6

3080 at 999 and i will pull the trigger

    • Estimated date for that to happen? Seems very possible, I just wonder how far off it is

      • +1

        before june

        • +1

          June 2040.

I got one of these for $934 just 2 weeks ago. I would wait for a better price.

    • Required afterpay though.

  • when 4080ti is out? it is on my list to buy. Sitting tight on gtx760 playing old games

    • +1

probably the end of this year. the 40 series would be in stock in most places and price would be more stable than just launched at that time.

    • I heard 4090 T-eye is a beast of a card, here's the review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0frNP0qzxQc

  • +2

This is cheaper than I paid for my 3070 (non-TI) in Jan 2021!

    • +1

Still 2x it's price if Crypto didn't exist.

      • Well I mined on mine overnight when im not gaming and it paid for itself, you should too ;) Can't beat em join em

  • These eBay coupon codes - so the seller gets the full original amount (as evidenced by the invoice that is sent with the product), less whatever cost they pay to eBay for the selling fee. So I'm wondering why eBay would want to make a $50 to $100 loss for every item sold that uses a coupon code? I can only assume that profits made on normal eBay sales elsewhere over time are used to offset the loses made on sales that use coupon codes and eBay take the hit? There's got to be some sort of cost sharing here between the retailers and eBay marketing as not all retailers on eBay support the coupon codes. Does anyone have any inside insight rather than mere opinions into eBay's ability to offer $100, $200, 15% discount coupon codes periodically?

    • I guess its the same as any retailer. In ebay's case, they just put the 100k marketing budget for this week into promo discounts instead of google adwords or tv advertising or whatever. Its working.. we are doing their advertising for them by mentions all over this website ;-)

    • I doubt that is how it would be structured.
Deals are not free, the invoice shows an amount but you don't know what % of the final price goes back to ebay.

    • 15% and 17% discount ebay plus.

Seller took 10% hit + ebay manage payment fees.

  • Noticeable upgrade over a 5700 XT?

    • I'm no expert, but a brief look at benchmark scores suggest a very significant improvement - performance should be over 50% higher.

  • ETH 55.00 Mh/s
However with latest lolminer update I'm maintaining 58+

    • 3070ti can achieve 62mh -

      • which one more efficient though

        • T-rex

      • I can't. Have you changed thermal pads on yours? I prefer nbminer and trex but sit around 55-56 on them.

    • can even reach 65mh/s if you set the reactor to 120%

  • 110 C VRAM Temp

There's also the colorful igame 3070 ti for $967

    • The colorful ain't the colourful, pass.

  • +4

So many crap deals. Everything is still 5-10% over msrp unless it's some shit ventus or asrock product.

  • Gg.tech365 on eBay has the same deal for slightly cheaper $978.

  • +1

I got 2080ti so im not upgrading till 5080ti or 5090
