  • I saw a video where someone had modded one of these to have a couple 30mm fans extracting heat. Only did about 5 degrees though.

I think my personally preference is still a SN30 pro+ with phone adapter v2. Viewing angles are a bit better.

Not sure why they'd need that mod, I never noticed mine heat up in the slightest!

And yeah I used to do the same thing, SN30 Pro+ with the phone mount. Depending on the phone it can feel really top heavy and cause fatigue. This gamepad eliminated that completely.

It's a bit smaller but feels more comfortable imo overall when playing for longer sessions.

They were emulating BOTW and Mario Galaxy, assuming a Wii U emulator. I find with even the Switch I'm craning my head down too much. I've got this phone clip which is better balanced than the old one.

Oh thanks for the heads up, wasn't aware the Pro 2 clip would fit on the Pro Plus.

Whenever I play handheld (Switch/mobile) it's more or less just before I go to sleep so I'm in bed and don't need to bend my neck much.

This clip definitely looks great though, it'll make it more ergonomic too if you can tilt it more into the center.

It can! I was surprised at first by how loud it clicks when adjusting angles. Good so far. Can be had for cheaper from other retailers.

  • What emulators are popular these days for Android? I just got an S22 Ultra and wanna try out some older 3D games on it.

    • Retroarch (lots), ppsspp (psp), AetherSX2 (ps2), redream (dreamcast) and probably dolphin (gamecube & wii).

      AetherSX2 - PS2
      EggNS - Switch
      Dolphin - Wii/GC
      Citra - 3DS
      Redream - Dreamcast
      PPSSPP - PSP
      Drastic - DS

      Along with everything else.

  • Gamesir has confirmed they are working on the X3 with inbuilt cooling. That's why the price of this is dropping.

    • Do you have a link to any info on the X3?

Only thing I could find was bluetooth certification: https://www.mysmartprice.com/gear/gamesir-x3-gamesir-x2-pro-…

I need to find it somewhere - but there was a prelim design floated around that showed fans on the back. I think might have been on the EggNS FB group. They confirmed it on Chinese social media apparently.

Here's a leaked pic apparently of it

    • Interested to see how it goes.

Only gripe I have with the X2 is the shoulder buttons especially are quite loud/clicky.

Hopefully the next one will improve that a bit.

  • This look okay for something cheaper for casual android gaming?

Seems to have good reviews on AliE but I'm always wary of these types of controllers.

I've found that with gaming controllers you really do get what you pay for.

  • any noticeable input delays for the BT version?

I used to own Gamesir G4s and the bluetooth delay really kills the gameplay experience.

    • Never really noticed it to be honest, even gamepass streaming on most games feels pretty instant.
