If you don't mind let Apple control what they want you to do.

    • +2

As soon as they are the same price 👍

  • Just wondering how is it without custom ROM? Don't want to play with it anymore.

    • +1

Its fine if you debloat and disable some of the MIUI apps.

    • Welcome to the club. I stoped playing with rom since pandemic lol.

    • the ram management is still quite aggressive isn't it

  • Reviews say it’s not good in Australia. Why is that, missing some bands or what?

    • +1

Misses some bands. 5G only has 1 band on optus. 4G and below is fine. Im on a 4G only sim so don't mind. If it became an issue its Amazon, so can just return as its not behaving 'correctly'

      • +1

Is it because it’s made for Eu/UK? No such issues if buy it from local sellers?

        • +1

No. Only one global version so same everywhere. Local sellers who sell this are not the big stores… except Mighty Ape (who overprice it). So probably not many reviews purchased from local sellers.

      • I m using telstra jbhifi. 5g is fine.

    • +2

Had a Poco X3 Pro that was stolen - replaced with a Poco F3 - thinking better screen, 5G, faster processor - but - I'm on Boost and Telstra and there is no Volte/Vowifi - no HD calls - so voice call quality is way worse. Also 5G here on Telstra is slower than what I get on 4G+ both have full bars - possibly a missing band. Lastly the battery life - although fine - not as good as the X3 Pro. They are the main cons.

      • Thanks for the info.

      • any difference between the cameras?

        • Cameras seem to work absolutely fine on both for my needs - I couldn't care less really it's not like the days of 320 x 160 blurry out of focus images - for all the comments about camera quality being a deciding factor - its a phone - are they all professional photographers trying to use these to make a living?

Haven't had an issue with the cameras on a phone for 10 - 15 years - not a reason why i'd pay an extra $1000 - seems like a marketing e-pene thing to try and upsell

I bought this to replace my mi mix 2s until the camera decided to stop working all of a sudden (nothing to do with software and returned it to Amazon UK).

The camera was pathetic compared to my mi mix 2s.

Other than that, I was really happy with the phone until it decided to stop working.

      • Is there any way to get VoLTE/VoWiFi working on telstra?

  • How terrible is the camera though? I am personally looking for 870 level performance with a more respectable camera but nothing exists until $800. (S21 FE did go down to $720 for a bit but terrible battery life).

    • +1

I own one and the camera is not as bad a people say. I was pleasantly surprised.

    • I use gcam and find it to be better than stock

    • +1

Camera's terrible, way worse that my previous phone (HTC 10). And while the HTC 10 was a flagship, it's still like 5 years old when the F3 was released.

The macro lens is pretty good though.

*These apply to photos. Video is terrible all round.

      • +1

Htc 10 was a good one

    • Camera is horrible. U just cant use it after evening. Fullstop. Day time is okish

        Any night street photo?

        • I have a feeling that is at night :) but yeah would be more interested in people and places at night. My pixel is consistently good and fuss free

          • @pointnlarf: yes but no one wants to take a milkyway photo with their mobile. we take our family photos with mobile where our children and our hands moves a lot.

      • long exposure is meaningless for normal night shots

      • awesome shot! didn't know that was even possible with the poco

  • A good alternative to a pixel 6? Getting over the very average battery of the pixel 3xl

    • Im coming from the 4a5G and was keen until I read the comments above. Sounds like a hard pass….If you like your photos…

      • 100%. i am the sufferer. will never buy anything except apple product. period. i will pay 4 times the price and will be 400 times happier.

        • That's alot of happiness

          • @Whatisthatvelvet: 100% no doubt. it is like driving a ferrari vs a bull cart. nwo a person who doesn't know what a ferrari look like, a bull cart is good enough for him

            • @nataliaava: If your main concern is photo, camera, iPhone is good.

IOS is not as flexible as android.

If you want android and good photo try Samsung or Google phone not Xiaomi.

  • Thinking of getting this phone, did the proximity sensor issue get fixed?

  • Showing as $442.25 for me? Delivery May 4th to WA.

Wifey desperately needs to upgrade her Redmi Note7 Pro with cracked screen. Was looking at Redmi Note10 Pro but there doesn't seem to be an 256gb version?

I've got an X3 Pro, but I think she'll appreciate the AMOLED on the F3, and there's no good deals on X3 anyway.

    • +1

I upgraded from the Redmi Note 8T, was gonna get the Redmi Note 11 Pro but 256GB would be more ideal long-term. Plus the SD870 CPU/GPU is a lot more powerful than I had expected.
