Thanks op, but this discount is not so tempting.
    Will wait for financial year.

      Yup, I agree.

Hope it can help others who prefer buying at OW (less 5% if price beat) or JB (additional $200 GC is not bad too) for better warranty than dealing with Samsung online.

Samsung still has $500 trade in credit on their website. That makes it $1349/$1499 for 128gb and 256gb.

    • Trade in doesn't work with the edu store does it?

      • Sorry I don't have access to edu store to check

Hi, I just checked and currently there is no trade in bonus for the S22 Ultra. Right now the only deals are bonus Samsung Care+ and 30% off cases.

About a month ago the trade in bonus was $250 for S22 U, $200 for S22+ and $150 for S22.

        Price for S22 U is $1479.20

    half price in korea!

I saw that. I am furious as i just paid full RRP. If i don't get a credit i will never deal with samsung again.

      • Curious why a veteran ozbargainer with a decade of experience bought a phone at full RRP.

        • Well i cut a deal that included a $600 trade in on a $5 phone and and about $400 in acessories which i sold off so saved $1000.

    • +2

how can we buy from Korea?

    • Does it support full Australian network?

  • I am looking for a dual sim Samsung galaxy, is there any way to check which modules support 2 physical sims? So far I have worked out most of them are single sim and esim but I know there are models with 2 physical sims too.

    • +1

I'm pretty sure the Note 10+ has dual sim.

      • Thanks, it looks like the s22 it comes in multiple models ones with single sim or with dual sim

        • It's hard to find a good phone with dual physical sim nowadays. Apple, Google and Samsung in Australia all aftering the e-sim flavour, I'm still looking for a replacement for LG V30, cant find any decent replacement at the moment

          • @GeneralKeen: I'm thinking about buying the international version of the Samsung s22 that has dual sim, unfortunately I think I will have to give up a micro SD card slot.

I just need to find a seller that has good ratings.

There is one on amazon, Samsung Galaxy S22 Standard Edition Dual-SIM but the seller is Becextech which seems to have a bad wrap around here so I am not keen on buying from them.

$1700 for a Samsung phone, you'd have to be bonkers lol.

Though not an android supporter, I'd say Samsung's phones are pretty decent

      • Still not worth the price considering how quickly they fall in value or go on sale. Got my last samsung phone at practically half price 4 months after launch. As others have stated this phone is already half price in Korea.

        • Samsung has insane deals on release, weirdly that's the best time to buy one.

I got the tab s8 ultra for $1003 (with "trade") along with s22u 256gb for $1180 from the last bundle deal. I doubt we"ll be seeing these prices until the next big holiday sale.

        • trade in deals make it decent

S22 Ultra is $1899 + $400 Gift Card @ Harvey Norman for those interested, might be able to negotiate elsewhere including the gift cards.

The exynos models (aka the ones we have here) had massive software issues, so I would wait until they fix those before buying buy ymmv.

    • +3

We got SD this time, not exynos.

  • I paid $1,454.50 for for 256 GB model w/ the Smart Clear View Cover as pre-order when it first launched (10th Feb).

This was via the Samsung Education Store, which dropped the price to $1599.20 as pre-order, and then they had a $200 coupon if you bought an accessory, which was based on the $55.30 case. I think there must have been something wrong; my guess is that there was supposed to be a min $200 accessory cost.

  • There's an update on the deal. Amazon is now giving away $100 GC AND free Samsung case.

    • Get a $100 Amazon.com.au gift card with purchase of select Galaxy S22 AND Tab S8 devices. Add both the device & gift card to your cart.

      • Nope. Tried it myself.

        1. Cick the "Add both to cart" under the GC bonus
        2. Click the "Add both to cart" under the case bonus
        3. You will see that you have 4 items in your cart, 2x for the phone
        4. Delete 1 qty for the phone
        5. Click proceed to checkout
        6. You will see that the Bonus GC and case will not be included in the final price.
        • Ah nvm… bad grammar on their part. In the details they put down "or" instead of "and"
