  • Dang….missed out, again!

    • Price match - just had Good Guys match, still eligible for cashback from Philips.

      • +1

How did you price match when the same price isn't up anywhere anymore?

        • Got lucky I suppose, just called up the local store, told them the price and they said ok to price match. Don't think they even checked.

It's actually cheaper now from TGG with the 15% shopback, and you get $20 tgg credit (find something eligible above $1 to get $50 credit total)

      • Just bit the bullet with TGG at $299. Shopback tracked $40.77 almost instantly.

A heads up for anyone who's trying to use discounted gift cards, the maximum number of gift cards you can use per transaction online with TGG is 2.

        • Aw mine still hasn't tracked

        • Have you got the bonus TGG credit for this purchase?

      • Is cashback over? I can see 3% cashback only.

  • FYI it's $260 at the good guys commercial site 👍

    • Is TGG commercial an eligible seller for cashback?

      • It's not listed under the excluded stores in TCs so it should be fine.

    • Easier way to get its membership?

  • Just got an email from Amazon stating my expected delivery is between 10/05/22 and 02/06/22, might just make the cut off of 08/05/22 for the invoice.

      • Thanks for the heads up, order changed to TGG

        • Hey , have you got the bonus credit for your order yet?

It's actually cheaper now from TGG with the 15% shopback, and you get $20 tgg credit (find something eligible above $1 to get $50 credit total) SPAM!!!

    • What's the closest to $1 someone has come across?

      • I bought the knife sharpener for $20

    • +1

Wtf is your problem dude. It was $299 so $40.77 cashback from shopback - $100 Philips cashback which is already $158, then $20 tgg credit. I bought a knife sharpener for $20 to get the $50 credit. Either learn to math or English.

N wth u went on at me about 'why not buy a Chinese brand it's cheaper and does the same blabla' https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/12036716/redir yet you are trying to get one of this as well. Why don't YOU buy the cheap Chinese brand then. Unreal.

I wasn't spamming, I was just letting people who missed out on this deal that they could get a better deal (yesterday), are you salty I didn't let you know? Figured you were the one that negged me 🙄

Mine already arrived from Amazon because I am PRIME. I am going to see what is so special about this "fancy" branded version of a pressure cooker, compared to the "cheap Chinese" one. I think that the performance will be the same.

        • It says that there is still one used one in stock from Amazon. If I order this, can I get the cashback from Philips?

Suuuuuure you got yours already. OK buddy enjoy. 🙄 Yup you are really sticking it to them by doing your "testing" alright.

          • @MeesusEff: do you want proof?

            • @9hundred: Sure why not. Find it pretty amazing that you managed to get it next day when it was sold out before you bought it 😊 lucky you.

I've also got mine from tgg today cheaper and a $50 credit incoming so guess we are both winners!

      • I think you've completely misread his "SPAM!!" comment.

He's written the same thing multiple times in this post, but labelling this one spam, as in he's spamming the same comment repeatedly themself.

        • After his comment above, I think he's just a troll. Not sure why only to me but whatever floats his boat I guess

  • Has anyone used theirs yet? Have read that you cannot set low/high setting for the slow cooker function and it does not include a glass lid (as indicated on the product webpage).

    Can anyone confirm?

    • About to head off to local TGG to pick up mine and planning to use it today for beef brisket.

Will confirm back after unboxing it.

      • Thanks buddy, much appreciated.

        • +1

No glass lid and you were right that you can't adjust low,mid/high for slow cook mode.
For normal cooking,(not the pressure cooking), you can adjust Temp/kPa for the following functions: Saute/Sear, Sauce thickening, Hot pot and Jam.

We have a smaller Kmart one and I must say comparing with that, this looks much better quality in almost all aspects.

@ja912son: Thanks for confirming man, I'll look into getting the Instantpot 8L instead now.

            • @Arcticfox: What's the general consensus, instapot is a better buy overall? What's the average price point?

              • +1

@NoApostrophePlurals: For me, the Instantpot seems to be the better deal due to:
                - Comes with stainless steel bowl - Less worrying about scratching the coating and it costs an additional $59 to get the Philips one
                - The Instantpot is slightly wider and a little shorter, which I find more appealing for the sear function
                - Instantpot can change Low/High slow cooker settings, Philips only has one slow cooker temp setting
                - Instantpot lid can be clipped onto the rim of the pot when not in use, Philips one has to be put aside somewhere on your bench

I have seen it posted that the record low for the Instantpot was $139.00. It also went on special two days ago for $179.00 on amazon, but it didnt stay that price for long. I'll just wait for the next special to show up between those prices and purchase then ;-)

    • I just picked mine up from TGG, no glass lid and the box doesn't mention one either. I think they meant it's an optional accessory

      • +1

Nah, it's written on the product page of their own website:

        https://www.philips.com.au/c-p/HD2238_72/all-in-one-cooker

Just click the 'Show all product features' button to expand the section. It's in the general specifications: Glass lid = Yes

It's cool, I'lll just refund to JB. I was waiting for you guys to confirm so I didn't remove the seals on the box for a clean return :-)

        Thanks guys…

  • got mine today from amazon. it's bloody massive. Not sure I even have the space to store this

    • +1

      what dimensions?

i ordered on the 22/4 and amazon says delivery is 16 May - 30 May so i'll probably miss the 8/5 cut off date. So I'm probably going to cancel it.

      • Hey mate, I was about to cancel mine too but I called up Philips customer support and they confirmed it doesn't matter when it arrives, only when you buy it. In other words, we're fine.

  • back in stock, $279 tho. free same day delivery with prime

  • great. claim it

  • I ordered mine from Amazon and even though the ETA was 12-30 of May, I received it on the 5th. Have also received confirmation from Philips that my claim has been approved.
