You may as well use nothing, these pad locks can be opened with a plastic straw, raked or sliding thin piece of aluminium (drink can) down the shaft.
    They are useless.

All locks are useless :) Lockpick Gun

      • Those lockpick guns are shit against anything with even a low security rating.. Basically has to have no security rating to work and even then they are hit and miss. I know because I have one!

The electric ones are a different story

        • Yea, electric, I plan to repurpose old electric toothbrush to do this!

    • dude, have you actually wathed it? it takes weirdly shaped tool to open 141, nobody has it !

You can get a rudimentary set off AliExpress or Amazon even for almost nothing. and lockpicking is becoming a more popular hobby (even a sport) in recent years. anyone who wants to get into this lock will be able to get into it. sure not every Joe on the street will open it, but enough that i wouldn't rely on a master lock for anything important

        • I can survive losing Maxtracks, I think. Half a year of depression and alcohol abuse and I'll be fine.

        • Can you though? Lock picks are illegal in Australia unless licensed locksmith. I'd love to have a go but there's a chance it will get intercepted coming in.

          • @Elyxar: In Australia, possession of lock picks are totally legal. Just don't sneak around at night in a black hoodie with it in your back pocket..

        • doubt a thief is going to take the time to pick these when they can just cut them

      • I've got one.

I was expecting someone to point out that lockpicking lawyer is constantly ripping on master lock for the shoddy design!

Heard of a padlock used oon gates that only emergency services can unlock. Used in retirement villages etc . Will get to ask around unless any1 here knows of such as it's getting pretty bad around here in the complex - surrounded by dealers and their clients . Actually now wondering if my mail is going missing from my padlocked box - plenty of very personal and confidential info in some mail . Maybe just now to dry , old , unloved and paranoid . Havatin.

Lockpicking Lawyer has ruined the name of Masterlock for me. Can never trust them.
