Baseus Computer Monitor Mounted LED Light Bar $29.69 ($29.03 with eBay Plus) Delivered @ baseus_official_au eBay

150
PRIL10PRIL12

Baseus has dropped the price of this popular monitor mounted light bar to $32.99 from the previous low of $35.99. The eBay codes then bring the price down further.

Take note of the thickness of your monitor as these bars work best with monitors thinner than 25mm at the mount point.

For clarity and to avoid confusion for people new to this item, it's designed to mount on your monitor and illuminate the desk below it. It's not to illuminate your monitor, which has enough of its own LEDs for that. :)

This one is good. But Xiaomi one is better.

    • I agree.

    • Never owned one of these. How is the Xiaomi one better?

      • +1

The xiaomi one has a dial remote so you dont have to touch the lightbar to change the light. I found touching the lightbar to change settings will mildly shift the lightbar each time.

        • Me too. Thats why I bought Xiaomi one. Much better

        • any good deal for xiaomi one?

    • Which Xiaomi? I can see one for $85 so if hope it was better, maybe I'm missing cheaper models?

      • This one:

Please note that this is a newer model of what most listings are offering, e.g. on Amazon. The new model linked above is the 1S (model no. MJGJD02YL).

I think higher lumens output, and the ability to connect to Mi Home.

That being said, I had trouble with connecting to Mi Home. It detected it as a Yeelight monitor bar, which I thought was no big deal - but the light output was capped.

So I just went back to controlling it just through the dial remote. Which is perfectly fine, and how I’d prefer to use it, anyway.

How is it compared to the Kmart one for $25?

      https://www.kmart.com.au/product/led-monitor-light-43030521/

  • What is the purpose of these? Are they for use in dark rooms?

    • I use Toni stead of a desk light. Saves footprint on the desk, so nice and streamlined. Not a huge light output, but makes as a nice mid-powered desk lamp.

Also, ability to change colour temperature and light output (though I realise you could just get a smart bulb and do that).

For me, I just wanted a streamlined desk, with more space on the desk surface. Perhaps an indulgent purchase… 😊

    • I am asking the same question. Why do i need this? I have a study room that i use as office space in my house. The lighting is so much better than this desk lamp

        Then you don't need it.

It's like if a deal on a hearing aid was posted and then asking why do I need this when you have no hearing problems.

If your lighting situation is less than ideal, these can help. If you lighting is good, then you don't need it.

It illuminates your desk underneath the light. Like a desk lamp but without taking up desk real estate. I use mine when mucking about with fixing things. I have two. One at my computer desk and the other on my workbench adjacent to my computer desk where I have a monitor I use to attach computers I'm fixing/upgrading.

      • so these are not design to reduce eye strain when reading in the dark room?

    • I use the Xiaomi one for my bed… easy to change the light settings on bedside table.

      • got a pic of how you it looks attached to the bed?

I just got Quntis Computer Monitor Lamp, 52CM $65, kinda like the build quality

  • man i bought the stupid blitz one, its broke… my xiaomi one is so good!
    People rating this ok?

  • Shows $4 postage for me. Maybe because I'm not eBay plus member?

    • Did you use the codes?

      • Nvm, going back to it again gives me the free postage. Might be a glitch

Is this suitable for curved monitors

    • Keen to know this as well! I have a Dell P3421W which has a 3800R curvature

    • yes,
you just need to bend the light before attaching it.

  • Using one of these now and it is absolutely great!
