Flybuys is dead...no more decent offers?

Seems like the great run of Flybuys promos is coming to an end. We used to regularly be able to get 10-25% off our shopping in Flybuys points now lucky to get 5% looking at future offers. Anyone else noticed this too?

Possibly you are spending too much/too reguarly there,

I stopped shopping at Coles for months, apart from the odd purchase/promo. Lately I am getting regular 1000 points for $50 spend and 2000 points for $60 spend offers come through each week. Sometimes overlapping offers on a Friday.

I stopped doing regular shopping there years ago. Aldi is so much cheaper, and the quality is the same if not better.

    I've been getting too many deals lately;

    And I've noticed they overlap.

Ie. Spend XX amount to get XX points. I'll do the spend and get points for all the offers I activated.

You just need to train FlyBuys AI. Stop using Flybuys when no deals and use it when there is a good deal to be found.

Woolworths rewards is better. Just got 30% off a $50 spend this week.

Oh no I don't get offers therefore the platform is dead. Doesn't work like that.

To expand on what hamza23 said. You don't need to be encouraged cough "rewarded" to shop if you shop there often.
When you shop in high amounts and frequently system goes well they are our regular customer cut back. If the whole point of reward cards was simply to reward everyone they may as well drop in store prices but that is crazy idea! They want you in/online and buying things at full price and hope to use the reward system to get you into a routine.

I buy the exact same things at Coles yet my spend amounts for bonus points went from $70 all the way up to $180. The later was after I Spent X amount then bought several gift cards that pushed my spend up. Penguin can spend $180 a week lets see if they will?
After that still way to high for months afterwards so I stopped going to Coles for my main shop. If I did buy anything it was a few items totalling $10 if I spent more I didn't scan my card. After a little while back down to $50 for 2000 etc points. So they knew I was still alive but why wasn't I spending much?
System went crap we lost them send more offers so they came back with vengeance.

Best one recently was Spend $50 for 4 weeks for 10000 points do it online delivery for a bonus 1000 points per week. While I also got 2 weeks of 2000 points for $60 spend. 18000 points for ~$220 spend and I only spent $2 x 4 on delivery.

If you don't know how to play the system it will be dead to you and no different to any reward platform really.
Have multiple cards, shop at a rival store, scan your card on small purchases after spends get too high.

Woolworths are doing the exact same thing to one of my cards. I got a double points offer this week yet another household card got 3000 points for a $50 spend.

    • Great summary, sounds like it is time to put my card away for the winter!

      • Get two cards. One you play the system with and one to collect the points you were going to forfeit.

  • Well, you have to activate the offers in your email each week.
If you have marked it as junk mail or unsubscribed, then you won't get far with flybuy points.

    That's true

Woolworths has been killing it with their deals. Have got over $50 in free money from them past few months + their 10% insurance discount.

  • Definitely multiple cards. Keeps the spend down and offers coming.
About 12 offers over 4 cards atm, hopefully double up offers on Friday.

We’re in the middle of a 10,000 point spread at the moment.

Hi op, I have noticed the same thing lately so you are not alone, hoping it picks up again soon, until then, no offers = no scanning card.

    • this is our last week in a 4x week cycle for 10K points
after that all im seeing are 1K offers…i.e $5 off $50 shops etc
hopefully they continue with the email bonus offers otherwise its looking pretty bleak
