Makes make more sense to go with Optus and cancel after 1st month. Save almost 50% on rrp

    • Can we cancel without paying the reminder of contract

    • not sure about that, a consultant advised me if I cancel, I'll have to pay full rrp.

      • I did it with ipad air about 18mths ago. Guy in shop said you can't but checked with customer service. Walked out got home and cancelled contract and paid ipad bill 2 weeks later

        • ooohhh that's great! Thanks for the info.

          • @kryptexAndroid:

When you sign up to a month to month SIM plan with a device payment plan (which includes a device discount), your min. cost is the cost of your device in full (less one month of your device credit amount) plus one month of your SIM plan fee.

      • Correct. After checking, if you cancel you have to pay up.

“ When you sign up to a month to month SIM plan with a device payment plan (which includes a device discount), your min. cost is the cost of your device in full (less one month of your device credit amount) plus one month of your SIM plan fee.”

    • What’s the Optus offer?

    • Which deal is this or is this just on a postpaid plan?

      • See above link :)

        • +1

          Ta!

    • Just a heads up on this offer from Optus, it’s ideal if you stay for the duration of the minimum contract of 12 months

      The total should be $688.32 (The SIM plan ($22.50 x 12 months) + Device repayment ($34.86 x 12 months))

Not sure which part to reply so I will just do it here.

      1 The WA deal,
If you get a new or port in, its worth a shot. I am already an Optus M2M customer and ask in chat if I can change to that plan with iPhone 11 and they day no.

      2 The iPhone discount
I give it some thinking so I renew my existing $65 M2M to include the iPhone 11 128GB. The contract SPECIFICALLY say a monthly credit is applied to the handset. the phone become 41.52 per month for 12 months.
I DON"T suggest you try to score the phone thought Optus if you don't want the contract, You can be end up pay 892.92 if you cancel after one month. But…..

The phone with the $65 plan is quite a good deal if you don't stream 4K and can live without NBN, You save at least $70 by cutting the NBN. The plan plus 128g phone is 106.52 a month, then you can get a second data sim for $7.50. You end up with 505gb of data that follows you. You can put the data sim in you old phone and leave at home as internet router and replace the NBN.

So for $44 you get a new iPhone 128gb, 505Gb of data to use at home and away. That is quite a good deal. Of course you need to have good Optus signal to make this work.

    still a great phone

  • I recently bought the iPhone 11 Pro “As New” condition from Green Gadgets with a 5%off code totalling about $721 I thought might be better deal since it’s got brighter screen and extra camera. I haven’t got the phone yet so I’ll see if it’s any good. The main concern for me is the battery percentage should be well above 85% in my opinion and I’m not sure if it’s overseas model.

    • As long as it is about 85% you’ll be fine for 1 year. I got 11 pro max ~$850 last June with battery 87%, sitting now at 84% (10 months+) !! But having this new always a good idea as it can go for 3 years minimum wo worry about battery.

  • id pay 200 more and go for the 12 128gb minimum, i got the 11 its a bit too heavy and the screen is 720p
