          I'm a method actor, that's what sells it too!

          The exasperated look, the physical pacing & looking out the windows, hurriedly calling a fake number, then tearing strips off the Optus voice whilst it's saying "The number you have called is not in service, please check the number blah"…climaxing with 'angrily' throwing the phone at something soft like the couch or bed after the 'conversation'! The wife ends up feeling sorry for YOU!

          What makes the tactic even more plausible for you now is the track record that most group buy sites have. I'll bet our better halves have all had to put up with us complaining about [insert group buy site here] when they've stiffed us on something; so they're already prepared. It's a victimless crime! :p
