It’s coming up to council rates time.
Is there a credit card that I could apply for that has a great bonus with about a $3000 spend that offers a bonus that accepts rates payments?
I have checked all the churn and burn posts and seen similar questions but no answers.

Often paying rates with Credit Card incurs an additional merchant fee. If you earn points you are paying with the fees. Not the way to earn points imo.
Not sure you understood the question. Bonus points are usually between 7 to 25% of a spend amount.
Eg Paypal was spend $3000 and get $275 statement credit. No fees. (One of the lowest deals)
If you could pay your rates with that you can’t complain.
Any credit card via sniip bpay @1.5% fee.
I haven’t tried sniip will look into it though thanks. Worth it if the offer is $3000 spend for 10 to 15% back
I just use beem-it for any bpay providers which accept credit card ($2000 limit per transaction), and zippay for any large BPAY bills who don't except bpay ($2.50 fee per $2000). I have paid ASIC, ATO, rates, etc and earnt points / qualified towards minimum spend on the transactions.

Most don’t let you earn points on Gov spend, but the only way to be sure is to do your own research.
It will take a while to search all the T&Cs, but you’ll find them on their respective websites. Use Ctrl + F to search the PDFs for terms such as ‘bonus’, ‘government’, etc.
