What is the difference between this one and this one?

Capacity and kilowatts seems to be the same… $100 price difference.

    • Smart Sensing technology - The new generation of Philips Airfryer does the thinking for you. Enjoy perfect results in two easy steps. Choose a food type and press the button to cook. Smart sensor automatically adjusts the time and temperature for effortless perfect results. Every time!

      • Specifically for Frozen Potatoes, Fresh Potatoes, Fish, Chicken pieces or whole chicken (according to AirFryerDaily review).

I was ready to go for it but think I might just save the $100 and ditch the sensor for a timer. Hoping to cook multiple items (e.g. chips plus fish, etc) which would make the sensor redundant anyway.

    • Also comes with an extra rack. The one from the party kit allowing you to stack two layers of food.

I prefer the dumb air fryers with the mechanical thermostat and timer. These electronics are heat sensitive and I've had family whose electronic panel failed within a year. From the tear down videos of these digital versions there doesn't seem to be any proper thermal insulation near the electronics and capacitors.

If you want an air fryer that will last years go for the ones with the manual dial. My current old philips air fryer is coming up to 10 years and is used nearly daily.

Overpriced for what it does. I got a generic branded one on ebay 3 years ago for $120 that does the exact same thing and works great. Its essentially just an element and a fan, why would that cost ~$400+???

It's like buying a really fancy $200 toaster instead of a $20 one from coles. If all you want to do is toast bread, why get the $200 one…

    • Yep! Completely agree with you.

  • Is that the lat version? Someone confirm please

The reason the top models of the Philips are so much more expensive is because the the suck the air out of the machine giving a more even cook without having to turn the food. The cheaper air fryers blow the air onto the food causing the top to cook more then the bottom.

    • I hear what you're saying, but I don't think a 1-2 minute task is worth an additional $300+

  • Price matched at Amazon if you prefer.

    • How you do it ?

      • Just buy it from Amazon. They have already matched the price of Myer.

  • Has anyone else realised there’s a new version of premium in white champagne? It’s RRP is $30 more but it seems like the only difference is colour? Can anyone spot any others difference? Seems odd the only “upgrade” would be colour.

    • How much are they ?
