Nothing special really. Still quite overpriced even if they were addressable RGB. A good deal would be $10 or less. Wifi RGB fairy lights are only about $50 or $60 RRP from Bunnings but stretch for 10mtrs with 300 lights I think

    • +3

Fairy lights vs festoon lights not quite a fair comparison

    • Where can you buy a string of 10 addressable RGB festoon lights for less than this?

  • How did you check stock?🤔

    • +2

Bunnings tightened the api quite a lot after everyone was easily exploiting it years ago but not quite tight enough :P

      • +3

I really don’t know why they did this unless it was getting hammered and slowing the system.
People who use it are genuinely interested in buying something but don’t want to waste time going to every Bunnings store to check stock availability.

        • +3

Bunnings would want people to go instore to try and find the products so that they potentially buy something else while they're there. Plus stores were probably getting a lot of calls to see if there was stock for the stores only listing a couple instock.

  • So are these waterproof?

    • They're IP44 water resistant

Your question is already answered in the deal post.

    • Hi, IP44 kind of, good enough to use it in backyard and survive from rainy days in the past.

  • Are they individually addressable RGB?

    • +1

No I don’t think so, from the App or I integrated with Home Assistant. Both address all bulbs as single device.

      • Seems like an ok price for rgb festoon. How does the warm white look? Is it a decent CRI?

        • +1

Just tested it as it doesn't really have a warm white colour. White has a blue tint to it (ie cool white)

Still quite a few in a cage on the back aisle at Artarmon. A sales guy saw me hovering near them and even kindly marked them down to $20 each as they're deleted on the system!

  • Possy just for your effort to include stock level!

    • +1

At around 12pm, there were at least 30 in the cage/trolley
