Fyi this is really small, I have this and a XXL one. Cant fit a bag of chips in this one. Probably good if your just cooking a snack for yourself like a few dimmies or potato cakes

      • +9

It's called being helpful/providing insight. Better to have someone speak up, than to buy it only to realise it's too small for even two people then having to dispose of it at a loss.

          • +2

@Budju: Oh well, I didn't read it that way. He just said he has two for comparsion - to give people an idea what fits in both. The large one fits a bag of chips (probably means the usual 1kg supermarket bag), but the smaller unit is more for one person.

            • @[Deactivated]: Never claim superiority over another man's air fryer. Period.

          • @Budju: What on earth are you on about?

          • @Budju: Small man syndrome

            • -3

@MontyMacaw: What kind of air fryer do you have little boy

"The airfryer is a healthier way to enjoy food"

    • Dim Sims in an air fryer?

Wouldn't think that would work well… Does it?

      • +3

Yes it does! I do South Melb Dim Sim in the air fryer all the time, splash some maggi sauce and chicken salt chef kiss

    • Its also the best in the market by far!
Yes its ideal for single or a couple
Much better than those cheap Kmart and Woollies ones that dont cook evenly

  • Just 800gm…

  • +15

I am using this since March and find it sufficient for 2 people. Yes it is small, but to me air fryer had to be just big enough so we can benefit of it. If I want to cook for 4-6, i have oven

And i paid $150 ( hands in ozb badge slowly)

    • +2

I second this, had one many years ago when it was first released and has been more than enough for us. For a big family this is probably not enough, but still enough to cook 4 schnitzels!
This has been one of our most used kitchen appliances since purchase.

  • Good price but too small.
Would be ideal for a couple or a single :)

  • Great price OP. We have this (paid more) and to be honest I've not felt it to be that small. Perfectly suits for our family of four. It's pretty much same size as those cheap air fryers at Kmart etc (which we had before and when moved to this one we didn't feel like downsizing). Quality is good, looks great and does the job. I don't know if I would like it to be bigger than what it is now (already looks big in our small kitchen).

I bought a 7L monster Soho (from JB Hi-Fi) for my first air fryer (for about $150), and the only bad thing about it is it is huge use of space on a bench top. But I'd hate it if it was an smaller in terms of size of meal it can cook at once. (But I have a family of 4 I'm trying to feed)
    ymmv
    (your mouths may vary)

    • Gots to keep that bad boy in the laundry room. Also keeps the bad smell away from the rest of the house!

      • Or outside

        • Or neighbours backyard

      • +2

Try washing it once in a while? :P

    • Thinking of buying the same unit …
Has This got a shake warning ?????

  • I saw this one couple days earlier but lucky didn't order it as it turns out it would have been small for family of 4.

I ordered a Devanti with 5.5L basket on Amazon for $129. Not arrived yet.

  • +7

    I ordered this instead.

Instant Pot Vortex Plus Air Fryer XXL, Stainless Steel, 5.7L, 1.8kg ($143.65)
    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B08LKRTR6T/ref=ppx_yo_d…

    • Thanks I ordered the same.

    • Any reviews? Can we get Amazon to price match it to this - https://edozer.com.au/products/instant-pot-vortex-plus-air-f…

      • Thanks for sharing…seems like a good price with $0 delivery within Aus.
But unsual a IT hardware store selling sell airfryers!!

    • Thanks for this. Just ordered with the upsized 12% cashback. Needed something slightly bigger than our current 3.7l Kmart one and I like that it’s a square flat tray and not round.

    • Thanks. Ordered the same.

    • Thanks , ordered open box

Will go with the instant pot multicooker that came this week as well

  • +9

Rapid air technology eh? Sounds like a lot of hot air

There will be an Amazon AU 12% cashback today between 12pm & 2pm AEST if anyone who wants to buy this and wants to wait for a couple more hours.

    • Cashback rejected my order

      • Well, if you followed all the steps and you made your purchase within the 2 hour window then it should be eligible. Send tightarse a message.

        • Yes, i did follow the steps correctly. It looks like the cashback rebates does not apply to Kitchen items

          • @slowassnail: There's nothing in the T&Cs that I linked there that suggests kitchen items were excluded. Send TA a private message (just follow the post I've linked here, click on his name and shoot him a message). I'm sure he'll get back to you and let you know what's up.

  • I have a tefal actifry which is on its last legs after 7 years and a few replacement bits. They dont seem to sell it in Australia anymore for some reason, does anyone know of another that turns and rotates the chips automatically

    • I'd like to know this too.. My tefal just died and the ones that don't rotate seem terrible in comparison.. Especially with chips

  • i have this and it's pretty small - a meal for one person or side dishes for 2.

i find it's pretty great for throwing in snacks, but that's really the definition of unnecessary item.

fyi i dont think it's any faster for cooking something like drumsticks which you can just use the oven grill for

My Aldi Turbo oven was only $29 and it's been used almost dailybut still going strong after 12 years. Lol 😆

  • Is this one better than the Mistral from Woolies?

    • I imagine in terms of multi functions and i doubt mistral would do have multiple function.

  • If I was to do it again, I'd buy the XXL for the family. This is good for 1-2 people though and that price is cheap and chips.

  • Good for 1 sausage and an egg

  • +2

How would this compare to kmarts airfryer?

  • +1

Guess I am the only one. I love that it is so small.

Enough for a family of 3-4 in my opinion.

You might not eat that much of the unhealthy chips or other fried stuff when you don't have that much space. Less storage. Cheaper price. Less energy consumption as you need to heat up less space.

  • What does this do that my Breville smart oven does not do?

    • Nothing, I believe. I've one as well. 'Airfryer' seems to simply be a marketing term for a convection oven.

What is this? An air fryer for ants??

  • +1

Can it fit 2 standard sized meat pies?

  • I never goes anywheres withouts my air fryer

  • Now at $103.11 for those following.

  • Now at $100 for those still looking to buy

    • +1

Ensure you are purchasing from Amazon AU seller, the $100 seller is not fulfilled by Amazon and likely another scam seller.

      • Amazon AU back in store @$103. even though the thread shows expired
