None of my devices I use SD or Micro Sd cards in have an issue with 256GB cards, from Cameras, dashcams, nintendo switches, raspberry pi's, and basically anything else. Most of my cards are 256's and i've never had a compability issue. What are you using?

      • +2

Many state up to 128gb but actually work with higher.

        • Yeah, usually the max size listed is dictated by the largest size that was available at that time. I've been able to put in larger MicroSD cards in all my devices.

The only issue I've come across was with an XDuoo X2 digital audio player, it was able to read the entire card without issue so I could play all the songs by going through the folders, but it couldn't read the ID3 tags.

          OLED for life!

  • Is DJI drone use this micro SD or standard SD card?

    • Microsd - however this would be too slow for 4k footage - I would recommend at least the Samsung Evo A2 or Sandisk Extreme.

Source: I'm using a Sandisk Extreme 128gb in my mini 3 pro, and it is also on the recommended list of microSD cards. https://www.dji.com/au/mini-3-pro/specs

Thanks heaps for the info, will buy a dji drone in near future, so will need one later on. By the way, how is mini 3, still hesitate to choose this one or air 2s?

        • If you don't care about the size much, the Air 2S is better (albeit a more expensive), and similar for the Mavic 3. I got the Mini 3 Pro because I've had big drones in the past and wanted something small (can even fit it in my pocket if I really wanted to). I plan on bringing this around on my travels with me, and the quality is just as good as the rest of the drones I reckon :)

@frogduck: I wish there is air 3s out, so can easily to compare…I am new to this drone area, so no much knowledge around here. Still need to do some research, they are all expensive, not a cheap toy… Still thinking what kind of shots I am going to take etc …

  • I paid $7 extra to evo Only for the free delivery.

  • Do we know the write speed for this card?

    • according to this review can get up to 50mbs when new - but probably gets worse over time - sandisk states a low 10mbs - https://camerajabber.com/sandisk-ultra-microsdxc-uhs-1-256gb…

      • Does it slow down when it gets old? Or because free space is used up

        • I would like to believe that the speed shouldn't change as it gets older, likely just the card filling up affecting performance.
          Could be wrong.
