  • Im wondering if Big W is going to beat the price of this. Every time I preorder from somewhere Im disappointed at release date (ie: paid more than what I could have picked it up for). Seems Big W has time and again been the cheapest for new release games.

  • I'm not sure if this requires a deposit or not… BigW also have a preorder scheme running (https://www.bigw.com.au/preordergames/) but it's currently lacking a price.

    • "Enter your details to pre-order your favourite games at BIG W. Just nominate the store you wish to collect your games from and we will have it waiting for you at the Home Entertainment service counter on release day.

      No deposit required."

      The confirmation email also states:

"To pick up your game at the lowest price, simply go to the Home Entertainment service counter, on or after the 12 November 2008, in the store shown above and present your copy of this email. Your game will be held for you until 5.00pm Wednesday 19th November 2008."

LOWEST PRICE being the key words. Pretty much no commitment, nothing to lose, just printout the email if you wanna take them up on the offer.

  • Well I contacted BigW to see what the price was and asked about the guarentee that they were seemingly offering. Here is my question to them and their response. Needless to say I am still unsure about getting it at BigW even though it is closer and easier than Target!

    My question to Big W:

I was looking at preordering Guitar Hero World Tour but the special webpage for doing so does not mention a price at all. It just states "to guarentee your copy at the lowest price". What does this mean?

    The response:

    Thanks for your email

If you open the product page, you will see the price next to the "pre-order" header

    Price: AUD$316.23
    Pre-order

Please contact us at your convenience should you have any further queries.

  • Just got a confirmation email from BigW confirming a price of $258 for the Xbox360 bundle. Yay!

  • got one for PS3 its $258 at big W.

ALSO Kmart has this rule about beating their competitors, by giving yuo 10% off the difference

  • How much are Big W doing Wii versions for?
