Premium Top Soil from FB Marketplace

I live in Perth and a seller in FB Marketplace is selling 10M3 Premium Top Soil delivered for $400

I asked the seller who the supplier was and his reply is the following:
It all comes threw me I source the material and screen and washed as you know top soil is scrapped up from the top service off land only the best soil is reusable for lawns etc

Would you recommend buying soil from FB?

Reputed companies are charging double $800 plus GST
Is there any way to check if the quality of the soil sold in FB marketplace is comparable to that sold by major suppliers?

    Most lawn people I've seen are you a sand blend. Maybe that's just to topdress

      Is it reasonable to expectation? Yes if he was a builder but he selling soil.

    a few things.
    1. reminds of when homer found a pile of sugar
    2.that seller doesnt have much good stars.
    3.seems like that guy sells lots of soil gravel etc. prob from leftover jobs.
    4. there was a few people who got free soil from gumtree/market place that was contaminated with asbestos.

    Whenever you buy anything on Marketplace you take your chances.
    Maybe when he arrives with the delivery and before you pay you check it out - if you're happy, you go ahead, and if you're not, you say so.

      if you are going to do that, make sure they agree to it before they come, or you just might get that load of dirt + more for free in the middle of the night
