Of course it's quieter than the Ironwolf. This is 5400RPM, Ironwolf is 5900RPM at the same size, 7200RPM at anything bigger.
That's like saying your Tesla is quieter than an F1 car.
Not really… Tesla being quieter than an F1 would be comparable to the NVMe M.2 vs a 7200RPM drive.
Are those actual RPM or "rpm class" marketing figures? I have a "5400rpm" that spins closer to 7200rpm, not this particular drive though.
Interested to know how you measured that.
I haven't personally measured it, but others have done frequency tests. From the sound of mine it seems obviously faster than the 5400s.
