[PC] Disco Elysium Final Cut A$19.99 (65% off, Was A$56.95) @ GOG

620

Pretty good price for an excellent game without tinkering with VPN. Prefer on PC given a lot of reading and a bit too small on Switch and on Console TV is too far

This game is genuine masterpiece and absolute bargain at this price.

Has been a lot cheaper with past $15 coupons from Epic, I paid less than $10 when combined with a $2 filler, but that might never happen again. Totally worth it at any price though

The game is one of those mad things that could have gone wrong in a million different ways and yet it didn’t. It’s a masterpiece.

I posted a deal on this game a while back at a very cheap price via VPN, justifying it by saying I didn't think I'd enjoy the game.

Turns out I absolutely adored it and smashed it out over a few days.

So, I want to buy it again. First person to comment here gets a gift copy (no new accounts though, sorry).

My way of giving back to the devs for making a fantastic game, and Ozb for being Ozb :D

I'd be happy to pay you $10 for it :D

Nah all good mate, it's yours. PM me your email and I'll send it over now.

I was in the same boat. I bought it for a lot more money back on Steam two years ago. Congrats to the Dev's for making an awesome experience~!

      @fLaMePrO ya legend

    • I kinda did the same for Kentucky Route Zero. Also an awesome game. Disco Elysium is on my backlog.

Am I too late to claim the free game? Cough up ya bloody

Always love me a talky adventure game. This one though, is way over the top on tons and tonnages of dialogues on which I didn't really care much for.

To each their own I suppose and for it maybe being an acquired taste much like Elden Ring in a way.

    • Yeah I tried this game and just could not get into it.. The fact you can just die of 'sadness' for picking the wrong dialogue option and get thrown back to the last checkpoint 15mins ago killed it for me.

  • Has anybody here played sanitarium? Is this similar?

    • +2

Disco Elysium is way more story based, if you’re looking for the puzzle challenge of Sanitarium you’ll be disappointed. But if you’re after a dark narrative it’s great, plus there’s rpg elements to it.

Been a long time since I played Sanitarium though, my memory is basically a dark Myst.

      • Ah gr8, i will stay away from this then. Thanks.

      Closer to Planescape: Torment, apparently.

      • The musics from Grim Fandango were good tho, i liked so much I ended up buything the game on steam again along with music tracks ;)

  • I read it as The Disco Strangler!
    Brooklyn 99 :D

  • Steam Sale in a few days and Steam has a bundle with this and Control which has a chance of ending up being cheaper if it goes on a similar sale and you already own Control

    • They removed the bundle last couple days of the sale… But it's back now… And no longer on sale…

It's hitting $20 quite regularly these days. My Isthereadeal notifications comes in every other day.

  • Currently playing this on PS5. Really enjoying it. No combat (that I've seen, anyway, and I'm quite a few hours in), pretty much all just stats and conversation driven. The writing is very dense… if you do not enjoy talky wordy things, this will not be the game for you. If you do, then you'll love it.

    Not a deal.

    I'm a simple man, I see a Disco Elysium deal, I upvote.

Underwhelmed by it to be honest. Very unique but not everyones cup of tea. Lovely animation though.

  • Just had a look at some of the gameplay and it seems like this has a revival of a 'Beneath a Steel Sky' kind of feel to it. I'm probably showing my age here, given that's like 3 decades old.

    • nah its nothing like BASS, if you want more of that, get Beyond a Steel Sky

Disco is much darker , no real puzzles , its much more like Planescape Torment as someone else mentioned earlier.

  • Beware, this game contains some very heavy and potentially disturbing topics and depictions.
