Viomi V2 pro good or this one?

  • Is this a good price? Tried to google but cannot see difference between n8 and n8 pro?

    • only 9% off, not a deal for me.

I did a little research, only big difference is N8 Pro has extra sensors in the front which makes it better at obstacles avoidance so if you have lot of toys or dog poop, it’s really good at not touching it at all. N8 will might touch and bump it a bit.

Apart from that they both have 2600 pa suction, 3200 MAh battery and similar features like mopping, carpet detection and virtual boundaries.

      • N8 has 2300pa suction according to the Amazon listing

        • My bad. Although not very significant difference, N8 has 2300 pa where as N8 pro has 2600 pa.

  • I was one of the bargainers who have been waiting for the S5 Max to come down to $500 levels but today I finally decided the bite the bullet and buy Ecovacs N8 at $399. I know the price of S5 Max came down to $550ish couple of times but it was sold out pretty quickly so rather than waiting for another deal on S5 Max, I've decided to try N8. The most convincing part was the price tag of $399 which is the lowest I've seen for such a product.

One of the biggest features I am going to miss out are S5 Max's massive 5200 mHA battery (N8 has 3200mAH) and really great mopping feature.

Me too. Been waiting on the S5 Max for so long I just ended up biting the bullet on the N8+. $699, but with auto empty bin. Here's hoping it doesn't disappoint!

      • I think it's a good deal mate. After using it twice i feel like i should have gone for the N8+ as the amout of dust in collected in 2 runs was insane and auto empy bin would be really handy. Make sure you cover one of the holes of the internal bin as auto empty cannot suck out the long hair from it. Cheers!

Grabbed this a while ago and works quite well imo 👍

  • personal experience is the pro mop is a must but only available for T8 range

  • Does this model suffer from the same annoyance as the others on the DEEBOT range?

When a power outage occurs, Deebot Ozmo Slim10 starts to move around looking for the docking station

    I know my N79T does it…

    • Have their ozmo 920 which has a LIDAR too but its mapping and so called intelligence is much worse than my trusty, now very old Roborock S5. It keeps forgetting maps, no go areas, bumps into things and sometimes can't find its way to the recharging dock, even when it's in front of it. Mopping and cleaning performance is better than the S5 though, if only slightly.
Not sure of their later AiVi or other later generation models.

Is there any ozb that can rank a list of robovacs so we know where this one rates
We have an original rockrobo.vacuum.v1but looking to upgrade
    Thanks in anticipation

I think it is a good price. There's been a one occasion when it's got down to this on Ebay too.

I came from a Xiaomi Robot Mi, and didn't want to spend much more.

    Compared to the Xiaomi:
-Better Mapping, saves maps, saves 2 levels of maps, once mapped, you can simply place the vacuum on any level and it will recognise where it is and go for it
-Mapping allows you to configure what order to vacuum, what level of suction and mopping for each room
    -Much quieter
    -Second side brush
-Automatically ramps up the suction when it detects carpet

    Cons
-Battery life, esp whilst initial mapping, isn't great
-Bin seems to fill in the middle, the outer sides don't really fill much
-Some weird navigation choices, but gets there in the end
-Travels at a constant slower speed despite suction level. The Xiaomi would move faster on turbo mode

    Other points
-You can purchase an autoempty bin (RRP $399) then it becomes essentially a N8+ with an extra charging station
-Mopping is rubbish (like all that drag the mop around)

Overall I think it's a great replacement for the Xiaomi, esp if you don't want to spend a huge amount

    • Thanks

  • Autoempty bin for it is $313 through TGGC

    • $13 cheaper if you get the n8+ on amazon currently at $699

      • true. But you'll end up with an extra charging dock (f you feel it is necessary) if you buy the autoempty bin separately.

Officeworks was selling the autoempty bin in charcoal for $249 before EOFY. They have now removed it from their website

  • Did anyone order this and received it? I have put an order through but haven't received it (passed the delivery date)

    • +1

I ordered it, but hasnt shipped yet. The deal is being promoted as the amazon day sale now so assume it will come…

  • Price went back up to $449.10
