Hey rep any chance we see sub $400 s2000mkiii again? Used to happen quite often pre Ukraine

    • What Big Jim said. I'm keen too.

if you are going to spend that much just get some q acoustics, polk, etc and combine them with those great budget texas instruments class D amps

      eg

      https://www.amazon.com.au/Q-Acoustics-QA3010-Speaker-Devices…

      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/203685290725

for the sub just get a 8 to 10" home theatre passive sub off ebay or gumtree, there were loads for $15 - $25 when i looked

i doubt the edifiers would stand a chance

      • That looks incredible, I'm looking for a similar setup for a home theater, do you know if any similar product supporting 3.1 channels?

      • can you reccomend anything that can power hd6xx and pair of passive bookshelf speakers at the same time?

also by passive sub, do you mean any old sub that uses the black and red wires will work?

Have prices gone up? These dont feel like deals

    • Agree, I'm pretty sure these have all been cheaper in past deals

  • The 4.W675BT headphones are $32.99 of you get them today! Have been cheaper in the past. These are my go to Bluetooth headphones for the kids and the iPads

  • Great - I've been keeping an eye on the R1700BT. Last deal I saw (about a month ago) was $120 + delivery, so about $140. $150 seems good and reviews are very positive.

    Any deals on S351DB?

Any deal on the 1280DB? Missed it last week

  • Any deals on S880DB ?

1700BT have just been $119 at cenntrecom for weeks. Pretty pathetic offer from someone associated to the item if they charge more than 20% over a retailer's price.

Can't comment on the whole line up but can for the R1850DB. Amazon currently has the updated R1855DB with Bluetooth 5.0 https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B08GJCLKW3 on sale for $179 and I grabbed a set of these less than a month ago for $149. By comparison the outdated R1850DB with Bluetooth 4.0 @ $194.25 is an awful price!

    • Yeah, this deal isn’t too impressive.

  • I've never really bothered with Amazon Prime Day but was going to look out for Edifier bargains. No bargains to be seen here. Is that it - don't bother staying up?

      This prime day is trash

    • This post is by an independent seller on Amazon. Amazon themselves may offer better deals.

I have both the R1700BT and the R1700BTS. I would recommend the R1700BTS as it has Bluetooth 5.0. Assuming your phone has Bluetooth 5.0 (which all flagship phones and most mid range phones over the last few years have v5.0) then you get far more range with the R1000BTS, so if you have your phone in your pocket and walk out of the room where the speakers are located it won't disconnect as soon as you leave the room, which is what happens with the R1700BT speakers v4.0. I have a medium size house and can walk around most of the house without losing connection with the speaker. The other bonus of the R1700BTS is the power/bluetooth light is at the front of the speaker not at the side like the R1700BT, so you can easily see if the speaker has connected and when you've finished using the speaker you can easily see the power light at the front of the speaker. With the R1700BT speakers, I have on several occasions left them on for days, sometimes a week or more before I notice the power light is still on. Spend the extra $20 as there are other features I just can't remember them.

    A real prime deal:
    R1885DB going for $139
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/711909

    • Don't remind me, I missed this by seconds, literally watched the price change 😭

    R2750DB $188

    Last prime day was $189

Just an advisement, these are physically huge, much bigger than the 1000 series range and only marginally better, for it's footprint it really isn't an optimal desktop set and is somewhat disappointing overall imo. I've always thought sound demos for speakers were sort of pointless but at least it gives people some idea R1700BTS vs R2750DB.

      • Do you have both? How do you know they are only marginally better? They are 3 ways, and have much deeper base units.

        • I had (before I sold) 1700s and I have a friend who had and Amazon returned 2750s because he's an idiot and never read the dimensions 😅 so I never listened to them side by side but have heard both but listening experiences are all subjective anyway, however my real point was to highlight their physical size for anyone who might also not check. That said, given the drivers are so much bigger, I guess I just expected more so I was let down. Comparatively the 1000 series punch way above their weight in both size and price.

  • Yuck the prices went up before discounts

  • S350DB $314 on app ($284 if you include $10 app discount and $20 cashrewards cashback at 4pm) - bargain

  • Question - is the remote infrared (ie has to be pointed at the speakers) or wireless (just needs to be near the speakers)?

    • I've got the R1700BTS and for that its an IR remote so has to be pointed at the speakers.

  • The R1280TS is normal price $149 not the price you have listed.

@PVA: It's showing the discounted price now. Looks like the sale only started less than an hour ago, not at midnight.

Got some 3000 Pros 18 months ago.
They died on the weekend and won't power up any more (the main one).
Weird but I thought I would get more than 18 months out of a set of speakers that I paid $600ish for.
    Out of warranty of course.
I won't be getting this brand again sadly because the sound quality was great.
