Thanks, stocked up for the upcoming newborn.

I’m in the same boat, out of interest how many packs did you buy?

      • +3

Better to use the curash water wipes like others have said. These are for 6+ months. You can never have enough at that point depending how messy or clean they are. Surprisingly so useful for things other than poop too. YMMV of course coz they're all different.

        • Alright sounds good! Thank you very much.

I bought about 25 boxes for my newborn from Aldi when they had them at $5 a box clearance with 6 packets. Used em for everything. Lasted until the fella was almost 3 ^^ at time of check out some old fart had a smart ass remark hinting I was planning to sell them to China . I only suspect it was cause he heard about people doing that with milk powder…. But seriously as if anyone would, the weight, ect lol

      • I'm still using them on my five-year-old's face and hands. You can never have enough.

    • +1

Curash water wipes been great for our first one. Honestly all we've needed and no nasty reactions like with some other options. Funnily enough the 'fragrance free' curash wipes caused us grief, but the water wipes are perfecto.

      • :( no waters available

6x80 is now available at only 12.79 or 11.51 s&s, even better deal

  • +2

Cheaper to buy the Aldi brand, which is quite good I think
    https://www.aldi.com.au/en/groceries/baby/nappies-and-wipes/…

    • yup same. 400 wipes for $10. The Aldi ones serve us well.

    • Aldi use to be good but gone downhill since I feel :(

    • These are way better than aldi imo

  • I got told by midwife to use dry wipes with water as all these wet wipes are full of unnecessary chemicals.

    • What chemicals?

    • +2

Thanks. More for the rest of us. Enjoy your chafing.

    • +10

Good luck pouring water in the middle of the night with poo all over..

      • You just have to keep a spray bottle nearby, it's not hard

      • Ever heard of a wet vac?

    • +1

Sure there are more chemicals in baby wipes than a paper towel and water (though one could argue against that based on the quality of the water where you live) but it's not like they're going to be putting bleach and caustic chemicals in the wipes - it's skin safe chemicals to make cleanup easier, plus the fragrance is nice when it's a 'poo explosion'. We've been using primarily Johnsons wipes on all 7 kids and haven't had an issue at all in the last 13+ years.

Did the midwife also happen to talk about baby powder being carcinogenic?

    • Where to buy dry wipes?

      • +1

Baby U dry wipes. Anyway I use a thermal flask with warm water and soak up the dry wipes with it. It's a godsend given this winter and my 10 week old whinges about cold wipes on her bum. Last thing I need to wake her up in the middle of the night.

        • +1

          Cheers, didn't know they existed.

    • +1

Try Joonya or Tooshies wipes. More effective than just water but also natural.

  • These are great, although, not the cheapest they have been. Certainly better than ALDI's alternative

  • +1

We found the curash water wipes to work really well..

    • Others say the curash ones burn…

      • Yes I've felt the burn. I used to use curash water wipes and had no problem that I could see, but one day I wiped it on my face and it felt warm and tingly. Wasn't exactly painful but enough to put me using it on my baby.

Actually comes to $16.49 in the cart!

    • +1

That’s if you have the extra 10% off first subscribe & save

  • +2

There's an option to apply an additional 10% discount on first S&S, bringing it down to $16.49.

  • 3 week new born dad here.

Benefits of the Huggies over say the $10/480 Woolies packs at 2.1c a piece? Vs say regular pricing of 3.3c Huggies? (2.5c with the 10% add in)

We got heaps for gifts so working through them now but preparing for when they run out.

    • +1

Woolies and Huggies are too dry.. it's ok initially but you will soon realize that the 99% water based wipes are better..

      • +1

Huggies actually wipe away more because of the texture, and doesn't leave the bum wet. However I love Gaia too :)

  • +1

If you like Cucumber and Aloe, $12.75 with S&S and are cheaper if you spend $40 (buy 4 and get if for $41.50)

Yes you will have 1600 wipes but at close to 2.6c each

HUGGIES Baby Wipes Cucumber and Aloe Vera Baby Wipes, 400 Wipes Refill Pack https://amzn.asia/d/2B0COz6

    • I'm getting $46.50 for 4 packs…what am I doing wrong?

      • I’m getting $48 for 4 packs

    • I couldn’t get this to trigger.
I assume it wasn’t your first order?
As it applies 10% for 1 pack only for first.
I tried ordering the first pack with current promotion. Then doing another 4 packs for 5% off, but it didn’t trigger :(

      • Maybe the $5 promotional credit?

  • Aldi ones and even CUB they are just fine - not as thick as these ones but I find wiping baby bum hard with thick wipes.

    • Aldi ones yes, CUB are terrible in my experience.

  • I'm still 6+ months away from needed them, will these last until then? Or should I wait closer to the date to stock up?

    • +1

Stock up now, had one pack open for 7-8 months and it was still fine.

    • +1

Itll be fine, I've kept mine over a year and it's still wet

    • +1

      Hi Chimi,

If the wipes do dry out add some cool boiled water to them upon opening each packet, I had 25 x boxes stored at one point 😆 triplets were my excuse… lasted me 18 months

      Two things are non negotiable

      Nappies and wipes

Without them your literally in the s#*t lol !!

  • I bought 5 packs for my newborn he is going through them and nappies fast, I got them before this deal was posted. Huggies nappies also on sale, stock up.

    • Which Huggies nappies would you suggest for newborn

  • I just got a extra 10% off. There was a voucher box you could tick for another 10% off, which you can combine with the normal S&S discount.

    Total:$21.99
    Promotion(s) Applied:-$5.50
    $16.49

  • +1

Out of all the wipes I've tried, huggies is the best. It's thick enough that the 💩 doesn't seep through, and it's quite sturdy that it doesn't break easily during a wipe

    • +1

And easy enough to tear when you don't need a full wipe :D

  • Thanks used these for our first child and they were great. Stocked up now for our second.

  • +2

Seems the first pack only gets the 10% bonus promotion. I added 5 x packs and still only got $2.20 promotional credit (same as the 1 x pack)

    • +1

Sorry didn't see this comment…(have been trying to work it out for the last half an hour! Lol)

  • For those with the extra 10% (getting $16.49), is it only applying to first pack for you too? (Eg. I get $35.18 for 2 packs)

  • This is gold lol

  • These are simply awesome. We need a single-use plastics renaissance to revive our flagging economy

  • damn! missed the late night deal!

  • back in stock!
