This works well. Bought one a few weeks ago at Woolies (same price but helped reach min shop for points).

Far better than trying to spread oil around with spatula/flipper

Won't this destroy the finish on my brand new Tefal saucepan that I recently ordered and will definitely be receiving?

    • -1

It sprays my tears well on my coming Tefal frying pan

    • +2

No, as it's using natural oil. The non stick gets destroyed from propellants

  • +4

I've got one and can't understand the hype 🤷

    • +3

I agree. I must be using it wrong. To me it's just as easy to pour a bit of oil on a pan and swirl it..

Thanks for posting though OP. I'm sure some will love it

Great for BBQ and air fryer none of the nasty's you get with aerosol sprays and also use less oil than just tipping it into the pan. Not to mention not turning into a flame thrower when using with the BBQ :)

Not to mention not turning into a flame thrower when using with the BBQ :)

          But that's the best part!

      • +1

But you have to open the oil bottle lid and pour. This you just have to pull the trigger.

      • +1

Some foods don't crisp up well enough for airfrying without a spray of oil.

    • +2

It depends on your uses. It's really good at evenly spreading olive oil on food whereas spraying into a pan before cooking isn't much different.

    • True. Mine leaks under the trigger.

  • Hair spray?

  • Does anyone use more than 1?

    • +3

Yeah, BBQ area, kitchen and different types of oils eg. Olive Oil, Peanut oil, vegetable oil etc etc.

    • I plan on using one with my lanotec steal seal.

Channel your inner MacGyver, you can do it

put a ring of black nitto tape around the bottle

  • These are also good for using to dispense hand wash. I keep one in the bathroom with foam soap and it works a treat.

    • um, why not use a foaming soap dispenser? You also won't have to pick it up to use.

I feel that this drips oil. After a few sprays, there's oil all over the front white part. Am I using this correctly?

I'm using sunflower oil within, if that matters.

  • What’s the difference between using oil in this vs the aerosol style oil spray cans? Apart from this being refillable. (genuine q)

    • Less/next to none mist linger in the air when sprayed compared to aerosol.

You say "local Woolies" as if they're a struggling small business. In reality they did exactly what Amazon is doing in terms of out-pricing smaller competitors which made them the biggest supermarket in Australia. If I'm choosing between 2 evil's I'd rather do it from the comfort of my own home.

So you justify your position by contributing even more money to the tax dodging multinational (assuming you mean you pay the $50 Prime donation)?

    • +1

Free delivery. If Woolies delivered $6 items for free with a $50 a year subscription then I'd buy it from them (due to rewards then making it marginally better than amazon).

    • +1

A few times I visited Woolies when this was on sale to find that they had all sold out. And they refused to do rainchecks. (do they do rainchecks? Coles do, so I asusmed Woolies would too).
But yes, I believe Woolies pays more tax and employees more people in Australia.

      • -2

They are an Australian owned company paying Australian company tax. I haven't heard volumes of complaints of exploitation from Woolies employees as is common from those employed by Amazon.

        • Woolworths are a publically listed company, they have plenty of foreign owners. Besides, them paying company tax is irrelevant if their owners are Australian, it all gets refunded back and the owners just pay personal income tax on their dividends. Company tax only provides net revenue to the government if shareholders are foreign tax residents.

If they made their online shopping experience as good as Amazon's then I'd buy from them at the same price, but its a long way off currently.

I use this in the bedroom

  • Err…looks like it's out of stock already??

    • Still available :)

      • yes I stand corrected! It is still available, not sure why but when I clicked onto the link it didn't show me 'add to cart' button'. Thanks for the confirmation :)

  • Plastic container to store oil = no. But it's only your health.

  • Available again
