    Made in China

      • +5

Our Chinese friends avoid most food, health & beauty items for a reason mainly around the quality issues & origin of the sources/ingredients.

        • +1

What you said is not entirely correct. Many western products are cheaper than those sold in China, so there is no suspense for Chinese people to buy these western products. Also in China, products from giant daily chemical companies like Shanghai Jahwa have always been trusted by the Chinese, the scale of such companies in China is not much smaller than that of P&G.

Which Australian made body wash do you recommend?

Go nake yourself and throw all your made in China clothes and shoes if you do not want made in China products :)

      • +3

They are now mostly made in Bangladesh.

    • So what ? Aren't they humans ?

      • +3

Its more around the quality of ingredients. Remember the baby formula incident?

        • +1

How would you even vet for Australian made products? The raw materials could be manufactured elsewhere. Moreover this is a bathing soap, not equivalent to a Baby formula. You don't eat soap !

@mynameisborat: Argument is quality of ingredients, not end product. I would bet Australia has much higher production standards/oversight than China. Which is why Australian products are.so popular there.

            • @Ozbargainasaurus: lol…mate….Capitalism is same everywhere….All they care is about profits !

              • +2

@mynameisborat: Just because they care about profits, doesn't mean that they completely disregard health and safety. At least not yet.

I have champion jocks that are made in India

      • Some pretty decent/okay skin cleansers are made in indonesia/malaysia. I have been using this johnsons one for awhile and it seems fine.
        Palmolive made in thailand

is it actually made in indonesia!

    • I'm all for minimising my purchasing of Chinese made products, but my Dettol body wash is made in Indonesia from the back.

  • lemon & lime same price. No S&s thought .

  • Plenty of Australian made options available on the market.

  • I don’t recommend this one if you have sensitive skin .

My skin dries out a lot using this particular shower gel .

    • Random buy on special few weeks ago. 100% agree dries out the skin and is not very good on the cleansing antibacterial side.

If someone needs a moisturising antibacterial/antiseptic body wash that doesn't dry out the skin, get a chlorhexidine wash. Twice the price but so much better.

Its taken me years to get through a few of the litre bottles of the lemon lime

      • +5
