      • +1

No worries, I realised after posting that may have been the case

  • +12

Not even shopback super swap vouchers?

    • -8

      No super swap

      • +3

The deal may be better in the next few days as it is towards the end of the month.

  • +7

Going the way of the Wish gift cards.

    • +2

Same. But with 177+ upvotes already, I'm not sure if we are in the minority or not.

      • people just upvote everything these days, you cant rely on that solely as a legitimate source anymore sadly.

I wonder why the super swap gift cards are being excluded in these recent promos?

    • Apple "computer says no"…

excludes Shopback Super Swap Gift Cards

    Bleh

  • +9

3 dollars seems bit meh and no super swap make this very unattractive deal. Hopefully cashrewards has sth better

  • +15

Lol SB thinks Ozb will now fall even for 1$ /100$..
    Not impressed.

  • +8

Looks it’s going a bit down hill at SB. I’m not impressed, Missus is also not impressed just recently got her Expedia claim not honoured. Bought for over $300 no vouchers used. Upsized Cashback 10% at the end 0. C’mon shopback what’s going on there. And then again such a lame offer.

    • Hey mate, sorry to hear your missus had some trouble with missing cashback, I'm always happy to take another look into what's gone wrong with cashback, so shoot me a DM with the details and I can take a closer look for you and help where I can.

      • Ok thanks, will send a Message.

  • +7

excludes Shopback Super Swap Gift Cards
    +
mere $3 and $100 minimum spend

Then not a deal for me

  • +2

5% off an Amazon gift card ain’t bad. It’s good. Who doesn’t drop at least an avocado at Amazon every week?

  • -4

Day by Day SB Stingy!!! & down hill !!! I saw this challenge previous several time and it never reach customer purchased. Once put super swap on title will sold out very fast. Last time tricky put super swap $250 minimum to purchase ( spend any gift card $50 or more to receive $10 cashback) after this challenge gone super swap $5 minimum is back on track and this time exclude. SB Please think about it. I am sure this time your 3,000 customer activated this challenge might get maximum customer purchased around 1,000 - 1,500 customer max to success this challenge. I see this kind of challenge in the future. No more attractive in SB at all.

    Thanks

I don’t get what people are pissed off about. If you don’t like extra $3 then move on.
Otherwise so many people are buying amazon cards anyway.

    • I'm confused too. $5/$6 off $100 Amazon/eBay.

Yet some get excited about a movie coming to Netflix or new game added to Xbox game pass deal

      • Are you going to buy an xbox game now? That will come to game pass in a month?

    • Yep, Amazon credit is a pretty easy use for these for those that regularly shop there

  • +2

With interest rates rising, these deals are getting less attractive. Unless you spend it immediately, id rather put the money into my offset account which is currently >3% :(

    • +12

You need to save that $100 for a whole 12 months before you realise >3% gain.

      • I sometimes keep giftcards for more than a year because i dont need anything.

  • Half of this thread: "I don't get out of bed for less than $10k" lol.

This is a $3 bonus on top of existing gift card cashback. I just got a $100 gift card with 9% cashback. I'm not complaining.

    • What you get?

      • Priceline?

        • +2

Yep. I use them for prescriptions… Saving 9% on medication is a steal.

          • -2

            @Tommyaka: not bad

next best thing if you cannot buy them for 10% off from the list

          • +3

@Tommyaka: False economy, just goto chemist warehouse and save more than 9%

            • -1

@Jessie Ryder: PBS medications should be the same price… As far as I know the government subsidies it so that everyone pays the same price?

Some people get a lower price e.g. if they are on a concession but the general price should be the same for everyone else.

            • @Jessie Ryder: Can always get them to price match CW

          • -1

@Tommyaka: Except you're automatically paying more for prescriptions at Priceline compared to Chemist Warehouse, so your 9% savings is probably more like 5%.

        • Can you use gift cards to pay for prescriptions at Priceline?

And what about using gift cards to pay for prescriptions at Chemist Warehouse?

  • Fuel deal isn't too bad either but there are better ones

    • +1

they were doing 6% cash back much better than 3%

      • Yep, Ampol cards were 6% off about 8 months ago, then they changed it to 3%. Still works out better than 4c off a litre now when petrol is over $2 a litre.

        • oh you missed out? they were like 6% for like 2 weeks again this month on the SB gift card page

it was good as you could stack on these $3 deals with 6c off My Toyota App

ended up to be like 15% off fuel on $100 Ampol Card

          I bought a couple

      • I bought a lot when they were having bonus but it's never enough hey 🤣

        • +1

Yeh not these days SB bonuses are pretty pathetic these days

  • +1

Thanks, prefer superswap but bunnings will do.

    • +1

Actually, poor form from SB. Bunnings dropped from 2% to 1.5% just for this deal.

      • +6

There’s the Home by ShopBack (2.5% cashback)

The ShopBack Home Swap eGift Card - One card, many options! It can be swapped for Bunnings, IKEA, Freedom, Temple & Webster, Sheridan, Amart, Spotlight.

  • Is this stackable with other gift card deals eg. dick smith 100 get 15?

  • trying to add coles mastercard as payment method and getting an "unusual card activity" notice and it's not accepting it. This happen to anyone else?

    • +1

That happened to me during the coles discounts when I added one after another to SB, 5 cards added then that happened, it's automatic and it's a cool down period that will automatically reset after a few days.

    • +2

You can get around that by using your coles mc to buy a supershopper gift card(virtual mastercard) from Special then using that at shopback, I did that when I had that issue and it worked fine.

  • +1

    Thanks OP.

  • +1

Not sure why this deal is getting more upvotes than this deal.

SB one has more choices but they took away super swap, is only $3 off $100+ so best you get is 3%, limited to first 3000 and takes ages for cashback to be confirmed. Compared to the other deal that's 10% off at best, and you get the savings upfront.

    • 3% is a bonus on top of whatever the other gift card base rates are
Some have a better % off at the Ultimate deal, some you can only get at SB (e.g Bunnings/ IKEA)

Re the cashback taking ages to turn confirmed, it’s usually within 1 week after purchasing, at least that’s based on my experience

    • +1

Bigger user base here and no Amazon/eBay there.

  • Just to make sure, we allowed to use the SB balance to pay for the GC right?

  • Check to see if you have eBay and Kmart $50 gift cards with 10% cash back offer (1 per type of card only). I did. Works out to be 13% discount

  • can I use available cashback as part payment and not violating the T&Cs? want to get Ampol gift card, still have about $16 cashback available

    • +1

Yup, using part or full cashback balance will work :)
