expired Brainwavz M4 Only USD $28 from MP4Nation (USD $70 Normal Price) Worldwide Free Shipping
This was posted 1 year 18 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal
I have bought many items from mp4nation. Pretty good service and 30 day return policy. They ship from Hong Kong/Singapore. It's normally a couple weeks for free airmail, with a tracking number. There's Fedex and EMS shipping options to get things in a week.
I currently have the HM5s and E10. But, I wanted to get something more portable like their flagship Brainwavz B2 (preorder price of USD$109.5 from USD$170). Since I read Brainwavz M4 is like B2 with more bass, I decided to get M4 instead. They dropped the price to $28 to celebrate their new website.
The new website has a points and referral system, for each 50-word review you get 100 points (USD$2) which you can then apply for subsequent purchases. I wrote 4 reviews for past orders and I received USD$8 (400 points) to spend the following day.
ClieOS gave a rating of 4.2/5 for M4's sound quality, and 4.75/5 for its value when priced at USD$70. He has reviewed over 150 In Ear monitors. He's said USD$28 is a steal for Brainwavz M4.

Another review found in mp4nation forum. Many mini reviews can be found inside the first post.

You're welcome to search for more reviews, on head-fi.org or other forums. They are mostly positive, except a few issues with a few people who mistakenly got the mic version which may not be compatible with certain audio jacks. Same price for mic and no mic versions. They are identical, except the mic and audio jack compatibility. I recommend the version without the mic, unless your device supports earphones with mic/remote control.

EDIT: USD$28 is about AUD$29.56 via Paypal.

Based on my extremely scientific method of selecting the best IEMs at a price point:
1) Select price
2) Go down ClieOS list until you hit price
3) Buy IEMsThis is a very good bargain.
I'd get on board if I hadn't performed method above prior to purchasing some Sunrise Xcape Impressive Editions. For what it's worth, they are superb, a massive improvement on my previous Vsonic R02Pros.
+1 voteThat would work well for mainstream users, but you're not taking into account the preferences for different sound signatures.
Another veteran reviewer is ljokerl, but he hasn't reviewed Brainwavz M4 yet. In fact, I got Creative Aurvana Live! because of him. I was mighty impressed.

http://www.head-fi.org/t/433318/shootout-102-portable-headph...Sound signature is as important as overall sound quality. For example, I bought Brainwavz M2 (not M4) because of ClieOS's review and score, I wasn't really impressed due to M2's dark signature.

I noticed that the microphone version is the same price.. http://www.mp4nation.net/brainwavz-earphones/brainwavz-m4-ie... - anyone know if it works well with iPhones and doesn't detriment anything?
+1 voteI had a look at the discussion link provided by the original poster, and they seem to work alright with no real complaints. If you go to that link, go to the last page of the discussion (35 pages or so), and then search for "mic" on the page, and then do the same on the previous 5 or so pages to see most of the comments on the microphone.
I've just ordered some with the mic, and I'm confident they'll work well on my android. (I used the referral code too.)

I made the order last night. The order just got shipped now, and I have a tracking number. http://www.singpost.com and http://www.ezyparcels.com.hk/ for checking the package before it enters Australia.
Although the tracking number is not real-time, I have learned that I can check the whereabouts of the package as sooon as it has been scanned in Australia by calling the AusPost (13 POST) number.
+2 votesI read there is a new batch of M4 with better tips (apparently the previous was quite bad)
http://www.mp4nation.net/forum/f46/brainwavz-m4-comments-172...
Do you know if these will come with new tips?
P.S. Same deal going on Amazon.com
+2 votesI'm certain these come with more tips (the new tips), as well as a pair of the legendary Comply S-400 tips.

+1 voteFor anyone not sure whether to bite the bullet I can assure you that these are a good buy.
I can almost guarantee you that these will own all those disgusting Beats by Dre bs out there.
I own the M2 which are exceptional value, but these should be even better.
Nothing to lose here.
GreenRomeo on 01/06/2012 - 23:09 ¶How's it compare to UE 700? Tempted to buy although my UE700 is collecting dust somewhere in the shelf.
+1 voteApparently, UE700 uses the same (Knowles TWFK dual-armature) drivers as VSonic GR01, Audio-Technica CK10, Brainwavz B2 (Fischer Audio DBA-02), and a number of other models, according to ljokerl. Because they have different housings, their sound quality and sound signatures are different. But if I had to guess, you might want to try something like the Brainwavz B2 ($109.5 pre-order, long wait BYW) to get similar or better sound quality and signature, based on reviews. Or are you looking for something a little different (and cheaper)?
As Brainwavz M4 can give B2 (DBA-02) and Triple Fi a run for their money, I'll bet that you'll enjoy the M4 as well. Just make sure, you've read the reviews I linked above first to ensure you like what's being described. I'm pretty by audiophile's standards, M4 is "technically" not as good as B2 or UE700 or Triple Fi, but it appears M4 is good enough to satisfy most people. But, don't forget audio world's exponentially diminishing returns. The reviews suggest UE700 is balanced (not bassy or trebly), while M4 has more bass and brighter than UE700 (not enough to bleed your ears) with good mids. Usually, the word "fun" is used to describe M4 while boring to describe UE700 (that might be why yours is collecting dust?)
Both ljokerl and ClieOS are in the process of reviewing the UE 700 if you have noticed. I'm not sure when that will come out (a matter of weeks?). At the end of the day, sound is an art and quality depends on the individual's preference.
GreenRomeo on 02/06/2012 - 00:21 ¶Thanks, much appreciated!
I suppose the UE700 is better overall but not as 'sharp' or 'vivid' as the M4, and its bass is definitely weaker than the M4. Not that's always a bad thing because when I listen to new age music too much bass is not a must.
Nice 1st deal. I will definitely go for the M4 (and use your code) if not already have the UE700.

Just letting everyone know that the quality of construction is noticeably better than other $30 earphones. I own the Brainwavz ProAlpha which has the same cabling and its thick!
My Brainwavz ProAlpha was same price ($28 USD, RRP $45 USD) which is sounds similar but is cheaper (http://www.head-fi.org/products/brainwavz-proalpha-in-ear-he...).
If you're looking for something as an upgrade to the standard iPhone/iPod buds then you MUST consider a Brainwavz product. The ProAlpha/M2 have heaps of detail!
For everyone else its not so much an impulse buy as a sideways step. Although for $28USD you're not going to feel ripped by adding a Brainwavz model into your stable.

In summary, M4's noise isolation is pretty good. The deal will expire some time on Tuesday morning.

+1 on MP4nation.. I bought the Brainwavz B2 from a promotion in Spring last year. Unfortunately one of the headphones stopped working intermittently despite me being very careful (always using a protective case when not in use etc). MP4nation have been great so far though, answering all my queries about RMA in 24 hours.. I need to wait for new stock to come in, but am hopeful that this will be a fairly painless process.
