Does Squeenix just have a cork board full of random words that they chuck darts at when they are ready to title their new games?

To be fair, Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core is a very good PSP game that this is a remake of. Remake would have been a better term, but doesn't flow as well as reunion. Certainly isn't a smattering of many different unrelated terms, just a weird final word choice.

    • Jenovas reunion was a pretty massive part of the original FF7 storyline so it kinda makes sense (not sure if it was featured heavily in CC or not though)

    • I think that honour goes to Capcom and their Street Fighter series…

        I mean… Kingdom Hearts.

Shut up and take my money!!

Until I find a better deal.

  • It would be good if I can buy a PS5 to play this on…

Stock freeing up. Get on the discord bot, every time I’ve been chasing one for myself or a friend the bot has come through. Got two in a week once, got one the other day off the Sony store for another friend.

      • Link to the discord?

        • Search Australia ps5 stock alert twitter, the one with most followers I think is the one with the discord as well. You can follow a few of them on twitter for notifications of restocks!

    • It's on PS4, Switch, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series S|X so all good.

Boy oh boy, the price of remake is steep.

    • Puts the $ in $quare-Enix

They love to complicate stuff. At this point how many ff7 modern products are there?

      Milk it guys.

      Where's part 2

      • 10 years till part 3

But most importantly… protect your honor, as a non-preorderer!

  • RANDOM caps lock WORDS

Listen to this Crisis Core ost track, its literally one of my favourite FF songs,

Those Who Accept The Protection Of The Stars

    • 'Flowers blooming in the slums' is a really good rendition of Aerith's theme. One of my favourites

    • I really like A Moment of Courtesy. I know "Me? Gongaga" gets memed on but I really like that scene.

    But will it play Crisis?

  • +2

thought it was the next part of the remake for a sec

  • I thought 'Reunion' is what they would have saved for the subtitle of Part 3 in the mainline trilogy.
    Huh. Fair enough then.

  • YES! More Aerith in high definition!

This item will be released on March 31, 2023 <============== Must survive till then………….

    • I think that's the "latest" date they're projecting, the official release is still "Winter"

Just want to see the remastered cut scene in HD-4k

  • I purchased a PSP just to play the original when it came out. Where does the time go

  • +1

    Embrace your dreams

  • Absolutely hyped for this. Sunk so many hours into this on the PSP back in the day

  • I still don't understand pre-ordering, let alone pre-ordering 8 months in advance. It's not like there's going to be a shortage. Why not wait until the game comes out and you can read the reviews before putting your money down, and see what other day-one deals are available?

Amazon Pre-order Price Guarantee makes it worth dropping a preorder on anything you find interesting. Sometimes they'll do a price drop for like 20 minutes or something accidentally and it locks you in to that low price when it comes out. Cancel anytime, pay when it ships. Not really any downsides.
