Sweet deal… but, realistically if I was to play (which I might now you've inspired me!)

$19.82AU for an online key. Purchased from these guys before (BF2!) no problems.

CJS… lol.. You're sooooo much better off buying it directly from origin rather than a 17 yr old who runs his business from his basement..

      • +11

why? i prefer to give my money to a savvy 17yr old saving me money than a publisher trying to rape me for every dollar it can.
EA gets their money either way

        • +1

So both CJS and directly from Origin is exactly the same?

        • +7

          I agree, Stuff EA

$40 for an EU key ($19 is a russian one). I can afford an extra $5 to play by the rules and be supported by Origin :)

than a publisher trying to rape me for every dollar it can.

Yeah, their prices mostly suck. They may be learning though, and $25 is cheaper than pretty much anywhere (excluding russian keys). We should support them when they get stuff right, and to me they've got it pretty right here.

      • +1

why is a russian key not supporting them? they still get the money right?

    • $5 isn't much. I'd probably rather go with EA.

Good deal. First time I've ever seen a game discounted on Origin, too.
    A few highlights:
    Dead Space: $7.49
    Dead Space 2: $19.99
    Dragon Age: Origins: $9.99
Dragon Age 2: $9.99 (Amazon had much, much better pricing a little while ago, but ah well)
    Mirror's Edge: $4.99 (Highly recommended)
    Mass Effect 1: $9.99
    Mass Effect 2: $9.99
    Mass Effect 3: $29.99 (Digital Deluxe:$39.99)
    Battlefield: Bad Company 2: $9.99
    Crysis: $7.49
    Crysis Warhead: $7.49
    NFS Shift: $9.99
    NFS Shift 2 Unleashed: $9.99

Unfortunately, the sale doesn't include DLC for SW: TOR, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning or BF3. It also doesn't include BioWare points.

They had a buy two or more and get all free sale last year.

      • +2

Yep this was so good - 10 games all free.

      • What! Was it posted here?

I hope it wasn't so I can justify my outrage at not knowing.

    • Still doesn't beat Amazon's sale a few weeks/months ago. (Mass Effect 1 and 2 were $5 each for example).

    • They pretty much have sales going all the time you just have to check.

    • Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

This is on special at Zavvi right now.
Was tempted to get it, but don't have time for games like this at the moment.

  • Thanks, just get one for my cousin.

You get one for your cousin.

        It's there any problem?
He asked for it last weekend, and $25 is a good price.
        I'm happy to pay it.

        • +1

No problem, you is good man.

        • "He asked for it last weekend, and $25 is a good price.
          I'm happy to pay it."

          That sounds worse!

      • You guys are terrible, you grammar nazis.

    • +1

      You didn't even say please!

  • Thanks op.. got NFS Shift, so can try out G27 that been in box for too long!

I don't get it. It's going to be cheaper than buying the dlc individually. In saying that there's nfw I'm paying $80 or even $50 for that.

I'd love to get some dog tags and a unique knife though, this will improve the game dramatically!

      • Yea, if premium ends up being only $50 i'll get it because I want all of the DLC and it should be cheaper than buying them seperately.

      • Mostly the face that if you pay more you can jump the queue.

So people that dont pay more could end up waiting for ages, while other jump ahead.

BF3 sans VOIP was a dissappointment for me.

Played BF2 for 6 years thanks to Pizza Hut Deal. Played BF3 for 3 months.

    • What Pizza Hut Deal?

      • From memory if you bought one of their pizza deals, you received a copy of BF2 with it.

25 bucks is a great price for this game. The whole premium subscription thing is a bit of a joke though. Numbers have dropped off quite a bit on Australian servers, it doesnt seem to be the online game that it used to be when all the servers were packed and you could play any map you want at almost any time.

    • Yeah I noticed this the other day, I don't have BF3 to play in the house, but I was playing at a friends (PC) and was trying to join a hardcore mode game, there was only 6 Aussie servers showing up with barely any filtering!!

Makes me sad to think in 10 years, there will be so few people spready across so many online games, going to be impossible to ever relive the glory days of CS 1.5 and joining random games from a list of hundreds.

      :'(

Most of those HC servers are just running spamfest metro as well :/

        • I know! I haven't played BF3 a great deal but I honestly had NEVER played Metro bar a few days ago.

Why the hell do people like that map? My team got pushed all the way back into the bottom corner spawning in the trains and just walked into bullets for 10 minutes.

I just wanted to play Firestorm and that big open map with the radio tower…no luck

  • Strangely enough, it appears that Battlefield 3 is costing US Origin customers $29.99 in the same sale.

  • Anyone know how long this is gonna last?

  • Yeah, but it still won't work on my G73… I'm getting fairly sick of buying games and not being able to play them because of coding (BF3) or DRM (TDU2).

  • +1

purchased bf3.. but starting to think i shouldn't have. how many plugins and clients do i need to download and install before i can even get to start playing? stop piracy? pffft.. more like drive your customers to piracy.

    • -1

Lets see. From a blank desktop you will need to:

      1. Click the link and wait for the Origin client to open and/or update before opening (First client)
      2. Click through to "My Games" or click to Download the files for the game
      3. Clicking BF3 will open a website browser to select servers/view stats (Second Client)
      4. After selecting a server the website will load a flash/html app and BF3 will finally load
      5. BF3 loads now you are ACTUALLY in the game (Third Client)

Its almost the same as steam, just done shittier and more obnoxiously (seriously why the hell does it need a web browser? Why isn't this functionality just part of the game?)

      /rant
