This Offer is for a limited time, commencing at 12:01AM (AEST) on 1 August 2022 and ending at the earlier of 11:59PM (AEST) on 5 August 2022 or while stocks last.
If eligible for this Offer, the 10% discount off Qualifying Items will be automatically applied at checkout.

Deal is up and running right now for some reason.
You can use your gift card balance to buy these cards, it would be a good idea to get some Amazon GCs off ShopBack (currently 2% CB) to bring the price down further.
I think there is a max purchase limit of $400-$600 in total transactions before Amazon cancels further purchases for 24 hours (risk prevention purposes).
It sometimes takes an hour or two for the cards to deliver, the estimated delivery time (5 minutes) is rubbish.

    • Bought just then. Got the egift card within 1 minute to my email. Maybe contact Amazon, or cancel and purchase again?

      • Under the order details it still says "Status - Scheduled"

Just did an online chat with Amazon rep. He said it was being processed manually and to wait a couple of hours. We'll see if it comes through, I'm not confident.

          • @vergs: Finally got my Gift Card in my email. Took just over 12 hours.

          • @vergs: Just received my code in the email. Took just over 12 hours.

          • @vergs: I had the same experience. After online chat with Amazon after a couple of hours, it took several more hours to appear in my email account.

  • "Your $16.19 gift card balance can't be applied to orders that contain Amazon.com.au gift cards."
Can't pay it with Amazon gift card?

    • Are you still getting an error? Still working for me just tested a purchase.

      • Thank you for your kind reply. Tried again and it worked this time!

    • Sounds like you have an Amazon gift card in your cart

Yeah I do have $10 promotional credit in my account balance, but who knows how they calculated. Just tried again and it worked! Thank you for your kind reply. Cheers!

Yeah that promo balance messes up this stuff sometimes, glad it works now!

  • for Google One subscription, is it possible to use Apple subscription and is it cheaper due x20 pts deal from Coles/Woolies/BigW (Apple cards)

    • I don't have an Apple device but if it's on the app store I don't see why you couldn't use Apple credit.

Whether it's cheaper is up to you really, both deals are effectively 10% off. Apple credit can be used for more things than just in app purchases so it might give you more mileage.

  • Thanks OP, just bought and came through in a couple of minutes

What are these used for - is it to buy apps in the Google Play Store? Any other use for them?

    • Your Google Play balance is credit that you can use to buy apps, games, and digital content on Google Play.

What you can buy with your Google Play balance
      Apps, Books, Movies, Newsstand, subscriptions

    • ???? … I use mine to purchase books, movies… never apps…. good to have on my tablet … they save space compared to taking physical items with you when travelling.

  • Bought mine around 1am last night. Still says processing in my orders.

    • Yeah, I'm in the exact same boat. Still haven't received mine.

I put in another order in the morning using a different credit card for payment, and I haven't received the 2nd order either.

Amazon's treatment of its customers is getting worse day-by-day. They know that they're now so big that they can do whatever they want & people have no choice but to keep shopping there.

    • Mine still says "Status - Scheduled", ordered at 8:11am today

      • Still waiting. Same status. Pretty ridiculous.

An update for the people whose orders are also stuck in "Status - Scheduled":

I just received a phone call from an Amazon rep. (I had made my order yesterday night at 12:30.)

The guy asked me a set of questions about whether I had made some gift card purchases and then he asked me to confirm the amounts of the purchases. He then mentioned that I had sent the cards to myself and asked whether it was me who wanted to use them. I confirmed that yes, I wanted to use the cards myself.

He explained that my order had been been put on hold, because Amazon was concerned that I was possibly being scammed into buying the gift cards for paying the ATO and he said that since I was going to use the cards myself, so he would go ahead & process the order.

I'm not sure why some people's orders are getting flagged for this & not others. It could have been because I was sending the cards to my own email address & putting my own name as the recipient.

    • Update:

Received the gift cards, but now when I try to click on the link to "get the gift card", I get the error message: "Sorry, this card is not valid. Please contact the retailer from which you purchased this gift card and reference error code EGIFT_IRE3_504" :-(

    • I did the exact same thing. Ordered at around 12.30am.
Waited…. still in Status - Scheduled.

Got an Amazon App notification that my order had been cancelled & now my Amazon account has been restricted.
Called the Customer Service line, and they were basically useless. It's been referred to "some team" and I'll get a call within 24-48hrs.

  • Having the same issue as some of you guys.
Was talking to Amazon on the chat and they said it is my Bank's issue they have not verified and process payment.

    Finally got mine. Worked fine.

  • Finally got my Gift Card. Took just over 12 hours!

  • Thanks Ops. Just purchased, it only takes 5 mins to get the code. they might have fixed it
